SHAIL OSWAL
Dream come true

After making his debut with an album, where he re-sang Zoheb Hassan’s hits, but where he was hardly noticed, Shail Oswal is back with his second album Kahan Hai Tu. The music for this album has been composed by Biddu, who has come up with fresh sound, trendy compositions and youthful pulsating rhythms, keeping in mind Shail’s youthful voice and sound quality. The composer has come up with arrangements different from his signature disco beat.

Born in an industrialist family, Shail’s musical interest comes from his mother Aruna Oswal. Having trained under various gurus in the semi-classical form of music from the age of eight, Shail has tried to sing the songs with consummate ease. Penned by Timon Singh, Sophiya and Zoheb Hassan, the lyrics are youthful and happy.

The album is a mix of love songs and peppy numbers. Besides the title track, there’s a techno number India, a zippy, rap song Zoom and a romantic number Chehra.

The video of the title song has been shot in the exotic locles of Toronto, in Canada, director Bobby Khan.

Kahan Hai Tu has been released by Lucky Star Entertainment Ltd., a recently set up entertainment company. Talking about the album, Biddu said, “As an artist, Shail has great potential and this album brings out his very best. The score on this album is very hummable. His musical instinct and inborn talent makes it an album which is sure to appeal to the youth. The arrangements for the songs are different - deviating from the disco beat to various other forms. Kahan Hai Tu is very different from any other album done by me and I am hoping it is accepted by the audiences.”

Shail adds, “It was like a dream come true for me when Biddu agreed to compose the music for my album. I have always admired Biddu and his music. Kahan Hai Tu a respectable Indi-pop album. The album encompasses different moods like romance, heartbreak, energy and fun.”
