Bengal theatres on strike
Nearly 750 cinema halls in West Bengal will remain shut from January 19 to 21, as part of the strike called by theatre employees demanding the implementation of the revised pay scales. The week’s two Hindi releases, Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi and Zubeidaa will be relased in the state three days after their nationwide release.
 



Har Dil... goes silvern

Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment’s Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega is celebrating its silver jubilee this week. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Raj Kanwar, the film stars Salman Khan, Rani Mukerji and Preity Zinta and has music by Anu Malik.

 


Aankh Micholi launched

Dream Merchants’ Aankh Micholi, jointly produced by Nitin Manmohan and Ram Gopal Varma was launched with a song recording in Mumbai on January 7. Taufiq Baraskar makes his debut as director with the film, which stars Nana Patekar, Saif Ali Khan and Urmila Matondkar. It has music by Sandesh Shandilya.
