*** LAJMI SIGNS SHETTY:
That Raveena Tandon is to act in yet another Kalpana Lajmi movie has already been reported. Now, the director has signed Sunil Shetty to star opposite Raveena in the film, which will be produced by Priti Sinha.

*** VICTORY FOR NADEEM: The London High Court has upheld Nadeem’s appeal against his extradition, which had earlier been ordered by the Bow Street Magistrate’s Court.

*** SUMMONS FOR SALMAN:
The chief judicial magistrate of Jodhpur, Prabodh Vashist, has directed actors Salman Khan and Satish Shah accused in the killing of a black buck and an Indian gazzelle, to appear personally in court on January 27. The judge has held them prima facie accused under various sections of the Wildlife Protection Act and Arms Act.

*** CBI CHIEF TO ACT: Joginder Singh, the former CBI director is to act in a serial based on the books he has written.

*** ASHOKA REVISITED: The times of Emperor Ashoka were recreated on the sandy plains of Samod, 30 kms away from Jaipur, with a week-long shoot. Scenes featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor were canned. Produced by Dreamz Unlimited, Ashoka The Great is directed by Santosh Sivan.

KHAN BROTHERS TO DIRECT:
Bobby Khan, a name to reckon with on the music video circuit has signed Lucky Ali and Jimmy Shergill to act in his first film as director. His brother, Ahmed, is also poised to enter movie direction. His film, which has music by AR Rehman, will feature one of the leading Khans in the lead.
