Jab Khelo Sab Khelo ratings below par - INTAM

AllThe ratings for the first two weeks of Sabe TV’s Jab Khelo Sab Khelo indicates a poor performance when benchmarked with the No. 1 show in the gameshow category - Kaun Banega Crorepati. For the two weeks ending November 12, the game show’s highest rating is 0.95 TVRs. Currently, Kaun Banega Crorepati on Star Plus has the highest ratings at about 11 TVRs.

The contender for the top slot, Sawaal Dus Crore Ka which is aired on Zee TV is seeing ratings of 2.2 TVRs as per the last available rating figures. The ratings, released by Intam for SABe’s Jab Khelo Sab Khelo target non working women who are above 25 years in age residing in C&S homes. For the week ended November 5, the game show’s best showing was a rating of 0.54. This was for the episode aired on November 1. The ratings for the week hovered around 0.40 TVRs and the last episode for the week had a rating of 0.24 TVRs. According to a media analyst "The ratings have not been entirely off our expectations but SABe has chosen to create a slot in the afternoon and in that context the show ratings are not too bad."

The analyst, however, added that SABe TV does not possess the reach of Star or Zee. "These channels have the advantage of promoting their programmes on their various channels" he explained. Jab Khelo Sab Khelo is aired five days a week from Monday to Friday between 1.30 and 2.30 pm.
The channel chose the afternoon as a time slot to air a game show. The afternoon slot at this stage is largely controlled by Ghar Ek Mandir and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi telecast on Sony and Star Plus respectively.

The second week saw the show’s highest rating of 0.95 TVRs. This was for the episode aired on Monday, November 6. The following days in the week saw the rating in the 0.40 range. The lowest rating has been recorded on Friday, November 10 which is the last day for which ratings are available. Officials in Shri Adhikari Brothers who wished to remain unnamed said SABe TV was aiming to create a unique time slot in the afternoon. "We expected a rating of about 3 TVRs for the period" the source said. The source added that the afternoon slot, occupied by Ghar Ek Mandir, Ek Mahal Ho Sapnon Ka and Nazdeekiyan, was never going to be easy to penetrate.

Kaun Banega Crorepati itself started with low ratings and we are still optimistic of a good performance in the next two weeks," he said.
