UTV Software Communications CEO Mody quits
UTV Software Communications Chief Executive Officer Khursheeda
Mody has resigned. UTV Chairman Ronnie Screwvala is the acting
CEO even as the company is hunting for a new one. "I
have resigned," Mody said, pointing health as the main
reason for her decision. "The doctor has advised me to
rest and minimise stress and travel for three months. In television
business, the top position can not be left vacant for that
long," she explained. The company officials confirmed
health as the real reason for her quitting the organisation.
Mody was responsible for overseeing the various businesses
of the company which included TV programming, dubbing, animation
and inflight entertainment. She was earlier working with World
Gold Council as head of Indian operations.
Before that, she was the client servicing director with Saatchi
& Saatchi Advertising, Thailand, and was handling the
Procter & Gamble account. She was also the marketing director
of Johnson & Johnson for the Thailand operations. She
was adjudged the winner of J & J Worldwide Marketing Excellence
for the two consecutive years, 1990 and 1991.
