Raju Chacha Many reasons to celebrate

IT was a big achievement for Ajay Devgan and the entire unit of Devgan Films when they completed their latest fun film, Raju Chacha. There’s reason behind the mood for jubilation. The film, which is very close to the young actor’s heart, tested his patience and perseverance and he came out unscathed, despite many setbacks. The major one being a court battle with an environmental group for erecting a set at Ooty. But the action hero didn’t get bogged down by the obstacles and got an order in his favour although it made him poorer by a few crores for no fault of his.

Raju Chacha is said to be a multi-crore fun film with children as its targeted audience. It has been shot on some of the costliest sets and also at lavish foreign locales. Ajay Devgan organised an audiovisual treat of the song clippings from the film for the media in Mumbai on November 25. The entire crew and the artistes of the film, apart from the distributors and exhibitors attended.

Ajay showered praise on everyone connected with the film for their unstinted support in completing his dream project. The function was also attended by Kajol and her mother Tanuja alongwith the senior Devgans. The film is directed by Anil Devgan and also stars Rishi Kapoor and Kajol alongwith three child artistes Saakshi, Harsh and Kinshuk. It has music by Jatin-Lalit and is slated for an all-India release on December 28.
