No biggies due for a month
Many changes have taken place to the release plans of last week’s scheduled releases. Jabbar Patel’s Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar which was scheduled to be released on December 1 has now been postponed for December 8. MF Husain’s Gaja Gamini is set for release this Friday without much fanfare. The business of other films has not been encouraging. Since Ramzan will start from next week, the chances of films doing any better is also doubtful. Besides, no big films are slated for release in the coming month.

Kahin Pyar Na Ho Jaaye

Lady luck has not smiled on the Salman Khan-Raveena Tandon, Pooja Batra starrer. Even on the opening day, the film belied all expectations. Its first week collections in Mumbai came to 56 per cent, 39 per cent in Delhi, 59 per cent in Ahmedabad, 51 per cent in Pune, 49 per cent in Allahabad, 31 per cent in Nagpur, 51 per cent in Indore, 61 per cent in Hyderabad and 82 per cent in Aurangabad.

Kurukshetra
Though the film had taken a good initial in Mumbai in the first week at 91 per cent, its collections slid to 77 per cent in the second. In other circuits the film failed to muster its strength even in the first week. In the second week, it registered 50 per cent in Ahmedabad, 59 per cent in Pune, 39 per cent in Delhi, 14 per cent in Allahabad, 73 per cent in Hyderabad and 58 per cent in Aurangabad.

Mohabbatein

The film’s collections — at 82 per cent, are good even in the fourth week in Mumbai. The collections in other centers were 85 per cent in Nagpur, 75 per cent in Hyderabad, 95 per cent in Aurangabad, 39 per cent in Delhi, 59 per cent in Ahmedabad, 29 per cent in Jamnagar and 60 per cent in Pune.

Mission Kashmir

The film is doing better in Mumbai than in any other territory. In Mumbai, its fourth week collections came to 71 per cent.

Ek Raat Mere Saath

The first week collections came to 29 per cent in Mumbai.
