The story is by Priya, who was Mani Rathnam’s associate, and cinematography is by Fouzia who was involved with the unit of Alai Payuthe and has also worked with PC Sreeram. Makeup is by Rita. The film is produced by Telephoto Entertainments Ltd.

Dubbing of the film will be done in the US. All other artistes will be from the US said Suresh Menon, the producer of the film. Revathi had earlier directed a TV serial.

Kamal Hassan asks fans to keep politics away

Kamal Hassan, while addressing his fans on the ocassion of his 46th birthday on November 7, said that the social service done by his fan clubs which were functioning as service societies was much more lasting than any work of any political organisation. “The fact that 200 people will gain eyesight through eye transplants and donation and that 18 people will have an heart operation this week shows the magnitude of the work of your social commitment. Yet this should not make you think that you have achieved your goal as this is not even half the journey that you have travelled. The market of an actor is very temporary but your social service will will outlast everything. Recently I was told by my co-artistes that politics awaits me but you see I am not intrested. Because there are much more qualified people than me vying for the chair, said Kamal Hassan.

The office bearers of the fans association presented the actor with a memento. A debate and poetry session was conducted by lyricist Vali. Trophies instituted in memory of Kamal Hassan’s mother Rajalakshmi and father Srinivasan were also distributed by the actor in Chennai. All the fans clubs over the state celebrated the birthday by carrying out various social service work and blood donation camps.

Kamal Hassan came from Ooty where he was attending the shooting of Aalvandan (Abhay in Hindi).
