Gowitrikar in Mukt
Writer-producer-director Adeep Singh has signed Aditi Gowitrikar
to play the female lead opposite Rahul Dev in his A Deep Entertainments
Mukt. She also participated in the on-going non-stop marathon
shooting spell from October 21 on a huge basti set erected
on the expanse of Rahul Pada, Dahisar wherein two songs and
romantic, dramatic, emotional and action scenes are being
canned on the entire starcast. Introducing Rocky Khanna and
Karan Anand, the film also stars Namrata Shirodkar, Seema
Biswas, Iqbal Azad, Anupam, Shyam, Sanjay Gandhi and Sayaji
Shinde with Mayuri Kango in a special appearance. One more
heroine is under finalisation. Earlier five songs of the film
were recorded in the voices of Sonu Nigam, Kavita Krishnamoorthy,
Jaspinder Narula, Roop Kumar Rathod, Mohit Chauhan of Silk
Route fame and Naeem Ajmeri. An Mohan Chabrias Fairdeal
Multimedia presentation, it has cinematography by MS Prabhu,
action by Raam Shetty, choreography by Ganesh Acharya, art
by Sheetal and Shailesh, sound by Jeetendra Chaudhary, editing
by Imran Khan, lyrics by Asad Ajmeri, Prasoon Joshi and Shaab
Allahabadi and music by Rajendra Liyakat. With the conclusion
of this spell, the entire shooting of the film will be completed.
Raj Kanwar directs
Sanjay-Karisma-Ajay
Director Raj Kanwar is to direct producer Suraj Prakashs
new mega venture, Maa Sherawali Productions Prod. No.
3. The film stars Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan together for
the first time with Karisma Kapoor in the female lead. Being
written by Robin Bhatt and Shyam Goel, it has dialogue by
Rumi Jaffery, lyrics by Sameer and music by Anu Malik. The
shooting of the film will commence from January 6, 2001.
Ajit Dewani turns producer
Star business manager Ajit Dewani joins hands with producer
Suraj Prakash to produce Kareena Sana Combines Prod. No. 2
which will be jointly directed by Glen-Ankush. Starrin Aftab
Shivadasani and Preity Zinta in the romantic lead, the film
has lyrics by Sameer and Ibrahim Ashq and music by Viju Shah.
The shooting of the film will commence from January 2001 and
is scheduled to be completed in six months.
Dushmani to roll in January
Suraj Prakashs Dushmani will mount the sets on January
3, 2001, with a non-stop shooting spell till January 30. Produced
by Manoj Chaturvedi and Ajit Singh and directed by Imran Khalid,
the film stars Mithun Chakraborty, Faisal Khan, Rajat Bedi,
Puru Raj Kumar and Ashim Bhalla. Two more heroines are under
finalisation. Written by Miraq Mirza, it has cinematography
by Lenin Xavier, and music by Nikhil-Vinay. The film is scheduled
for April 2001 release all over.
Faisal-Rajat-Ashima starrer
Kaaboo launched
Producer-director Vicky Ranawats Kushi Films Kaaboo
mounted the sets on November 12. The film stars Faisal Khan,
Rajat Bedi and Ashima Bhalla. Being written by S Sachindra,
it has cinematography by Nasir Khan, action by Heera Singh,
choreography by Ricky-James, art by Ranga, editing by Kuku
and Cukoo, lyrics by Naqsh Layallpuri and music by Anchal
Talesara.
Sudhakar Bokade launches 3 films
Sudhkar Bokade who in ten years made more than 14 films is
now back and is launching three films simultaneously, with
three aspiring and new directors; Ajay Chandok, BB Mukherjee
and Pravin Karle. These films will be produced by his son
Krishna Bokade under the banner of Bokade Films and Software
Pvt. Ltd. The lyrics of all the films are penned by Sameer
and are set to tune by music directors Nadeem-Shravan, Anu
Malik and Aadesh Srivastava. Big starcast and other top credits
are finalised for all the films. The films will mount the
sets shortly.
Chandni Bar nearing completion
Producer Mrs. R Mohan and writer-director Madhur Bhandarkar
concluded a week-long shooting spell for their Shlok Films
Chandni Bar on November 6 wherein many emotional and action
scenes were canned at Khalsa College, Versova, Dharavi, Haji
Ali, Cooper Hospital and other Mumbai locales. Meanwhile Harish
Shetty has been signed to provide action for the film. The
film stars Tabu, Atul Kulkarni, Sri Vallabh Vyas, Rajpal Yadav,
Vinay Apte, Abhay Bhargav, Varun Vardhan, Ananya, Dev Ashish
Shedge, Manish Mehta and Suhas Palsekar. The film has screenplay
by Mohan Azad, dialogue by Masood Mirza, cinematographer Rajeev
Rai, choreography by Kishore Oreskar and art by Prasanna and
Yashwant Patil. The film is fast heading towards completion.
Border Hindustan Ka in Pune
Producer HS Taneja commenced a ten-day shooting spell
for his Jayshree Productions Border Hindustan Ka from
November 9 at various exotic locales of Mumbai wherein many
romantic, dramatic and action scenes are being canned on the
entire starcast. The film stars Faisal Khan, Rajat Bedi, Aditya
Pancholi, Priya Gill, Mink, Ashish Vidyarthi, Dalip Tahil,
Mushtaq Khan, Dara Singh and Sudesh Berry. Being directed
by debutante Yogesh Bhardwaj, the film is written by S Sachindra
and has cinematography by Karim Khatri, action by Prem Sharma,
choreography by Saroj Khan and Ricky James, art by Ashok Samant,
sound by Buta Singh, editing by Sanjay Sharma, lyrics by Tahir
Ambalvi and music by Dilip Kishen and Hari Kishen. With the
conclusion of this spell, except for four songs, the entire
shooting of the film will be complete.
Salman Amisha shoot for MKD Films
Director David Dhawan will commence another 20-d ay marathon
shooting schedule for MKD Films Prod. No. 6 on November
16 at Kamal Anrohi Studios. After shooting here for four days,
the unit will move to Delhi for 12 days to shoot at different
locales. They will return to Mumbai to picturise a romantic
duet on Salman Khan and Amisha Patel at Famous Studios from
December 1 to 5. The film also stars Rishi Kapoor, Rati Agnihotri,
Rinke Khanna, Sharad Kapoor, Kadar Khan, Kiran Kumar, Shahbaaz
Khan, Master Ajay Nagrath and Anupam Kher. Being produced
by Kanchan Ketan Desai, the film has story-screenplay by Yunus
Sajawal Imtiaz Patel, dialogue by Rumy Jaffrey, cinematography
by KS Prakash Rao, art by R Varman, action by Mahendra Varma
and sound by Vinod Potdar. Ketan Manmohan Desai is the co-producer
and Prakash Pange is the executive producer. It is a Manmohan
Desai presentation.
