AAGHAAZ
COME, LET’S BEGIN BUILDING A BRAVE NEW WORLD

Naidu’s Aaghaaz is a glaring mirror to the threatening, tormenting and tumultuous times we are living through. We have got into this habit of tolerating all the torments, threats, traumas, all the creation of a group of people who go out of their way to make society a sick society, even try to strangle it step by step, the ugly ones, the enemies of
society and the entire country who carry on their notorious and
nefarious activities because
society doesn’t raise its voice
out of sheer fear

The doyen of the South, the filmmaker who has entered the Guinness Book of Records for making a record number of films he has made in various Indian languages, Dr D Rama Naidu, who took a break from Hindi films for a while, and made four films in Telugu in the time it takes to make one Hindi film, is back to HIndi films with a bold, contemporary and courageous subject, Aaghaaz - The beginning.

Dr Naidu who has the added responsibility of being a MP with a voice, says it is his duty to make films that will not only entertain but also enlighten, educate and encourage the millions.

Naidu’s Aaghaaz is a glaring mirror to the threatening, tormenting and tumultuous times we are living through.

We have got into this habit of tolerating all the torments, threats, traumas, all the creation of a group of people who go out of their way to make society a sick society, even try to strangle it step by step, the ugly ones, the enemies of society and the entire country who carry on their notorious and nefarious activities because society doesn’t raise its voice out of sheer fear and God knows, on whose side the authorities on high are. Everyone for himself, for his family, seems to have grown into a bad habit, into a selfish way of life, living in hell, a hell created not by devils and monsters but men and women who have turned into devils and monsters who can put the real devils and monsters to shame. The burning need of the hour is to raise our voices, to make an effort to find all the bravery and courage we have lost as men (and why not women?) and try to fight against the destroyers of society, the country, this our very own mahaan Bharat.

The story is a direct clash between the makers and breakers of society. It is the story of a clash between all those who stand for good and the other wild group which is only interested in the degeneration of all that is good for their own wild welfare.

Naidu’s Aaghaaz is the story of a young man, Sunil Shetty, who raises his voice everytime a wrong is committed. He succeeds to a certain extent but how long can one man fight the fire and forces of hell? But he doesn’t give up. He tries out another way, a more courageous way. He raises a daring clarion call to his suffering people. He leads them to battle against the perpetrators of crime and tries his best to get them the punishment they deserve. The people slowly see sense in his call. He tells them they can be free from all evil if they can unite and fight the enemy man to man, without any fear of any kind.

Sunil again succeeds to a certain extent but his most daring contribution lies in his bringing more and more people to realise their own power, the power to wipe out the wildest evils if they come together as as one man. His voice calls out to more and more people. He suffers untold misery for his dare-devil activities but he doesn’t give up his fight nor does he allow his people to give up their fight. He leads even though he is battered and bruised but still strong enough in spirt to lead his fight to the finish to set an example to his people and the people to come after him. The fight goes on till Sunil who is joined by more and more people who find the fire within them, leads his people to victory and proves that evil can be eliminated if we all put our best step forward together, if we get out of our homes where we are habituated to hide like cowards and crumble and tremble in fear. Sunil’s call for justice and put an end to all evil is a ray of new hope for a new future. It is not just another story, It’s an eye-opener.

The film produced by Dr D. Rama Naidu, MP is directed by Yogesh Ishwar, (one-time assistant to Vidhu Vinod Chopra) who makes his debut. It is made under the banner of Suresh Productions and has Sunil Shetty, Sushmita Sen and Sharad Kapoor playing key roles. Namrata Shirodkar, Suman
Ranganathan, Sharat Saxena and Sharad Kapoor play the other key roles.
A right subject chosen by the right producer, directed by a young director with a passion, the passion to come up with his best and a whole lot of talented artists... If they don’t make a sensible film, who will? What will Naidu, an institution and phenomenon who has always done what he has set out to do, what he has decided to tell the world, the world who is now watching him more closely as a filmmaker who is also a politician who has to fight to weed out all evil using films as his strongest weapon, prove in Aaghaaz.

Will Aaghaaz give Naidu a new image, the image of the fighting fiery filmmaker.
