Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage
Mohan Kumar’s Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage was shot for six days on a specially erected terrace-set at Film City, Mumbai from September 19 wherein director Vikram Bhatt canned important scenes on lead pair Hrithik Roshan and Amisha Patel. A Gautam Kumar presentation, the film is being produced by Rohit Kumar under the banner of Emkay Enterprises and has music by Rajesh Roshan, lyrics by Ibrahim Ashq, story and screenplay by Robin Bhatt and Sanjeev Duggal, dialogues by Girish Dhamija, cinematography by Pravin Bhatt, dances by Raju Khan, art by Gappa Chakravorty, editing by Amit Saxena and sound by Murari Krishna.

Bubby Kent’s Salman starrer launched

Producer Bubby Kent and director Adhiyaman launched their new venture, yet untitled, Prod. No.7 recently at Filmistan Studio with an initial 15-day shooting spell. Salman Khan and Shilpa Shetty play the main lead in the film. Being made under the banner of Karishma International, the film is written by Rumi Jaffry and has cinematography by WB Rao, action by Mahendra Verma, editing by Kaka Malik, sound by Ejaz Ahmed, art by R Varman and music by Himesh Reshammiya. Ajay Paul is the executive producer and Lucky Sharma, the co-ordinating producer. It’s a Bharat Shah presentation.

Ramesh Sharma-Muthu’s Pyasaa

Producer Ramesh Sharma and editor-director A Muthu’s next venture titled Pyasaa was launched on September 9 with a song recording. Penned by Faiz Anwar and tuned by Sanjeev Darshan, the song was rendered by Sonu Nigam. The film stars Aftab Shivdasani and Sanjay Suri in the lead. Being made under the banner of Triple Aar Movies, it has story by Ikram Akhtar, screenplay by Sanjeev Duggal, dialogue by Tanveer Khan, art by Sameer Chanda and action by Bhiku Verma. Other cast and credits are under finalisation.

Songs for Roshni recorded

Music director Anand-Milind are currently recording four songs for Ripples Picture Entertainment’s Roshni at Empire Studios. Penned by Ibrahim Ashq, the songs are being rendered by Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik and Hariharan. Meanwhile, the first week-long shooting spell was concluded while another marathon schedule is slated to be held soon on exotic locales of London. Starring Bikram Saluja and newfind Menaka in the lead, it is produced by Sudesh Iyer, Rajesh Bhatia and Hemang Desai and director Karan Razdan is making his debut with this film. Vikram Razdan is the executive producer.

10-day spell for Kasam Se

A further ten-day shooting spell for Sai Trinetra Arts’ Kasam Se was held from September 14 on a lavish set erected at Chandivali Studios wherein many romantic, dramatic, thrilling and other scenes were canned. Being directed by Kundan Shah for producer Pammi Sandhu, the film stars Sunil Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Shekhar Suman, Isha Khopikar, Asrani, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Shakti Kapoor and Gulshan Grover. Being written by Dilip Shukla, it has cinematography by Dharam Teja, action by Sham Kaushal, art by Wasiq Khan, sound by Rakesh Ranjan, editing by Aseem Sinha, lyrics by Majrooh Sultanpuri and music by Anand Raaj Anand.

Song for Chori Chori in Jodhpur

Choreographer Raju Khan picturised a song on Rani Mukerji and hundred dancers during a week-long shooting schedule at the historic Fort Chanwa in Jodhpur for Om Shakti Combine’s Chori Chori recently. The film is being written and directed by Milan Luthria for producers Lalit Kapoor and Raju Narula. It has Ajay Devgan in the lead alongwith Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Shashikala, Virendra Saxena, Shama Deshpande, Mehernosh Doctor and Mushtaq Khan. Other credits include music by Sajid-Wajid, lyrics by Anand Bakshi, cinematography by Manmohan Singh, art by Amit Mishra and set designing by Nimita Seth.

Week-long spell for Jaal-The Trap
Director Guddu Dhanoa is currently shooting for Parth Productions’ Jaal-The Trap during a week-long shooting spell at different locations in Mumbai from September 24 featuring Sunny Deol, Tabu, Amirsh Puri, Farida Jalal, Sanjeev Seth and Kishori Kulkarni. Being produced by Vinod Shah, the film has music by Anand Raj Anand, lyrics by Sameer, cinematography by Shripad Natu, story-screenplay by Rajiv Kaul and Praful Parikh and dialogue by Dilip Shukla. The film also stars Jackie Shroff in an important leading role. Three songs of the film have already been recorded.

Sanjay Narvekar in David Dhawan’s next

Sanjay Narvekar (Dedh Futiya of Vaastav fame) has been signed to play a very important role in a film directed by David Dhawan. A Time Films International presentation, it will be produced by Dhirajlal Shah and will star Sanjay Dutt, Govinda, Twinkle Khanna and Monica Bedi.

Soch 50% complete

The entire cast of Zeekay Films P. Ltd. Soch participated in a ten-day schedule that concluded on September 29 held at Aksa Beach, Film City, Garden Retreat, Royal Palm, Mukesh Mills, Nariman Point and on outdoor locales in Mumbai. Being produced by Dr. Wijahat Kareem and co-produced by Dr. Mrs. Surheeta Kareem with Rizwan Ullah as the associate producer, the film stars Sanjay Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Aditi Govitrikar, Arbaaz Khan, Sunil Nagar, Vaishnavi, Mushtaq Khan, Vineet Kumar, Yunus Parvez, Macmohan and Danny Denzongpa. Director N Chandra, who makes a guest appearance also participated in this schedule. Written and directed by Sushen Bhatnagar, it has music by Jatin-Lalit, lyrics by Sameer, cinematography by Rajen Kothari, action by Shahid Ali Shanu, dialogue by Atul Tiwari, choreography by Rekha Chinni Prakash, art by Smita Gupta, sound by Anuj Mathur and editing by Umesh Gupta. The film is now 50 per cent complete. Khalid Azmi is the associate director.

Big starcast for Nana -starrer Vaadh

Producer Dilip Dhanwani and NS Raj Bharath have signed Puru Rajkumar, Anupama Varma, Meghna Kothari and newfind Nakul Ved in their Megha Star’s maiden venture and the Nana Patekar-starrer Vaadh. The film has story, screenplay and direction by NS Raj Bharath, dialogue by Hriday Lani, cinematography by Devraj, lyrics and music by Vishal-Shekar. Other cast and credits are under finalization. It’s a Dilsa Distributors presentation.

Sharad Kapoor in Raj Kumar Kohli’s film

Producer-director Raj Kumar Kohli has added Sharad Kapoor to play a major role in his Shankar Movies’ Prod. No.25. Meanwhile the first week-long shooting spell was concluded on September 29. The film also stars Sunny Deol, Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Manisha Koirala, Aftab Shivdasani, Rambha, Aditya Pancholi, Arshad Warsi, Rajat Bedi, Siddharth, Payal, Mohini Sharma, Munish Kohli and Raj Babbar. Sonu Nigam also plays one of the leading roles in the film. A Nishis presentation, the film has story by Aatish, dialogue by KK Singh, cinematography by Thomas Xavier, action by Tinu Varma, art by Sunil Singh, sound by JP Saigal, lyrics by Sameer and music by Anand-Milind.
