Screen - The Business of entertainment

Tera Jadoo has b-o in spell
With Vashu Bhagnani’s Tera Jadoo Chal Gayaa taking a bumper opening all over India, the distributors are more than happy. They are sure that the film will keep the same tempo at the box-office in the coming weeks. Mumbai distributor Balkrishna Shroff said the film has had 100 per cent collections on the first day in all the theatres in the city and suburbs.

Another person who is happy these days, is Ratan Jain of Venus, whose Dhadkan is doing good business. “I agree it is not a super hit but considering the other release of the week, Dhadkan has been doing good business everywhere. This is because it is a family film, and the ladies have been patronising it in large numbers. Besides, it has good music,” he says adding that he had made only 285 prints for the film.

Dhadkan

THE Akshay Kumar, Shilpa Shetty, Sunil Shetty, Mahima Chaudhury starrer registered 88 per cent collections in the first week in Mumbai. However, its collections in Delhi were 73 per cent. It collected 77 per cent in Pune, 89 per cent in Solapur, 85 per cent in Allahabad and 72 per cent in Nagpur with three prints.

Deewane
THE Ajay Devgan, Urmila Matondkar starrer could not make it big at the box-office. Its first week collections were 73 per cent in Mumbai, 65 per cent in Pune, 61 per cent in Sholapur, 59 per cent in Delhi, and 43 per cent in Nagpur.

Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega
THOUGH the film had collected 99 per cent in the first week, it plummeted to 78 per cent in Mumbai in the second week. The big drop in collections were noticed in Delhi where it collected 46 per cent. However, its collections were fairly good in Pune at 69 per cent and 60 per cent in Nagpur.

Kunwara

THE film registered average collections with 54 per cent in Mumbai in the fourth week, 33 per cent in Delhi and 41 per cent in Nagpur.
