B4U ties up with Norway-based Telenor Plus for distrib. in Nordic countries
B4U, the popular television channel network, announced its tie-up with Telenor Plus AS, a Norway based multinational, to distribute their channels B4U Music and B4U Movies in the Nordic countries, UK and Europe via DTH and Cable. The transmission of the two channels is to commence in early August.

Commenting on being the first Indian Channel in this part of the world, Kishore Lulla, Chairman and CEO, B4U, said "We are very proud and happy to be the first Indian Channel to be seen in these countries. The tie-up with Telenor will ensure that South Asians in these territories will benefit from the wide range of their services. This service will initially be provided Free to Air but would be encrypted within a month of launch."

He further added on the programming pattern, "The Asian Community will be able to see a variety of Indian programmes ranging from new Indian films to music videos etc. The B4U Movie Channel will air at least five Indian films in addition to the various film-based programmes, music videos, general entertainment programmes and other entertaining and informative programmes including soaps and serials. The B4U Music Channel will feature film music, music videos and music related programmes. We would like to reach out to each and every Asian in any part of the world and entertain them with valuable and enjoyable programming."

Telenor believes that these services would further strengthen their commitment of distribution of ethnic channels and reach out to the South Asian audiences. At present Telenor claims of distributing other ethnic and various Scandinavian channels.
