25th Anniversary of a legend -- Madan Mohan Ki Suhani Yaadein
If only we had more sons like the sons of the legendary music director Madan Mohan... If we only had some of the living legends going out of their ways to remember the legend and his music... If some of the music directors of today who made noise more than music were present in greater number to know, to learn, to find inspiration from the great genuine and original music director... the world would have been a much better, much more soothing place. These and other thoughts and memories crowded the mind at the special twenty-fifth death anniversary of music director Madan Mohan who died at the young age of forty-six after creating music which would last for 46,000,000,000,000 years and more.

A select gathering paid tributes to Madan Mohan. The man who lived music as long as he lived and died making sure that his music would be forever. The anniversary was commemorated by the sole efforts of Madan’s son, Sanjeev Kohli (seen with his wife) and Lata Mangeshkar who made it a point to attend the function despite her dark glasses which were a mystery were among some of Madan Mohan’s special friends - Asha Bhosle, Khayyam, Yash Chopra, Jagjit Kaur, Nitin Mukesh, Pandit Shiv Kumar, Anand Bakshi and Suraiya who came out of her house once in a way. A special collection of some of the hit songs of Madan Mohan were released at the function. It was a memorable evening to celebrate. The memorable numbers of Madan Mohan whose music is and will ... live, live, live on. This music can never die.
