Saif and KareenaSaif and Kareena said, 'They are happy to be in love and would like to focus on their career and relationship at this point of time.'
Bollywood superstars Saif Ali Khan and Kareeena Kapoor have no plans to get married soon as they believe that marriage might impact their career.

The Bollywood stars, who are constantly surrounded by wedding rumours since they started dating two-years ago, said that they are happy to be in love and would like to focus on their career and relationship at this point of time.

"We have not really addressed that issue (marriage). We do talk about it but right now I think Saif wants to set up his production and I want to do some more great roles," Kareena said, while speaking at a summit.

Khan, who debuted as a producer recently with 'Love Aaj Kal' backed his lady love on the topic of marriage, saying, "There is no rush to get married. In today's time it is more important to stay connected and keep the relationship working. I don't know how open minded we are but let us face it your career does get impacted after marriage.

"And I don't think it is a constructive to take a lady who is at the top of her profession working as an actress and turn her into a housewife," the 39-year-old actor said.

When asked about maintaining silence about their relationship for a long time, Khan said they did not want to flaunt their love because the 27-year-old actress had recently gone through a break-up with Shahid Kapoor.

"She had just come out of a relationship and I think it was not fair enough to flaunt it. However, we both agree that to deny a relationship is not a good way," Khan said.

Khan said that he first met the actress when she was just 14-year-old, at the set of a film where he was shooting with her elder sister Karishma Kapoor.

"She does not remember it but when I first met her, she was just a 14-year-old kid, sitting outside her sister's make-up room staring in the space. When I asked about her, somebody said that she is Kareena Kapoor and one day she is going to be a star. I said she probably will," said Khan, who will be next seen with Kareena in their upcoming film 'Kurbaan'.

Kareena and Saif fell in love while shooting for 'Tashan' and the hook-up grabbed headlines. The actor who was known as a ladies man said that he never thought of their relationship as a mere fling.

"Right from our little talk under the tree in Ladakh, I knew that if I take this further, it would be very serious because both of our families know each other. I knew it was not going to be a short fling or something like that," Saif said about their first romantic encounter.

The actor said that he got Kareena's name tattooed on his arm to show his commitment towards her.

"The tattoo is very much permanent. I remember the day I got it, we were sitting in a car and unfortunately talking about Beckham, I don't know why we were doing that but the tattoo came up and I said let me get one at my shoulder and she said why shoulder, why not arms," he said.

Leadership Summit by Nair on 2009-11-01 10:25:22.794169+05:30 I watched parts of the HT Leadership Summit over TV. Frankly, how do Bollywood stars qualify as leaders and what forms of leadership have they provided? Or did the organisers include them to add a dash of glamour to the proceedings? Aren't former/current heads-of-state and government, as well as business leaders enough of a draw? More importantly, don't organisers have an obligation to be true to, and live up to, the very objectives of organising such an event and calling it a Leadership Summit?
