Family Party by Mort on 2009-06-01 10:22:45.108878+05:30 This is fantastic . The DMK has gifted a payhike for staff!DMK is the perfect FAMILY PARTY (sic). On the other hand Jayalalitha AIADMK had suspended the staff when they protested for better wages and working conditions. So many families were affected when their bread winners were suspended and future in suspense. Jayalalitha has no family and she fails to understand the people .

After Mu. Ka. by Shankar on 2009-05-30 15:50:32.886213+05:30 In Ramayana Bhaath will Rule Ayodya with Ram's Sandals. In TN Stalin may want to keep the CM's Wheel Chair and Rule! But ones the Veteran breathes his last all those keeping quiet will show their true colour.

wheel chair chief minister. by S Balasubramanian on 2009-05-30 11:55:05.720466+05:30 Despite ageing and physical tiredness, MK does not want to leave the CM kursi. He wants to be CM till his ......Leave alone dynasty politics and his accommodating each wife's offspring to different thrones, aged people still sticking to power is not at all acceptable. All political parties in India are terrorist and private limited parties where no one can raise his voice against leadership. They need only yes yes aadmi and any one questions in the name of democracy, they will be thrown out.Unless we have legislation fixing upper limit for politician and capping 2 times as in USA for any post, the tamasha will continue.Despite people voting in the name of caste in Tamil Nadu, the State is reeling under severe power cut and law and order is worst in Chennai. Robbery and murders are order of the day in Chennai. Still people tolerate and vote for them. What to do?Politicians won by money and muscle power have become Ministers in the name of democracy.

Rotten dynastic rule by Rajan on 2009-05-30 11:44:00.052465+05:30 Not really rotten. Both are horrible dynasty. The rotten dynasty is the people who elect thses dynasty. It is result of the rotten mind of the people and do not blame MK or Gnadhi family for their success.

the democratic joke by lsingh on 2009-05-30 10:59:39.608972+05:30 This is the biggest joke. Kapil Sibal must first look into reservations in Congress, DMK, National conference, shiv sena before venturing into the private institutions. There is no internal party democracy, seniority, merit etc.If the old man cant handle files let him resign. DMK is not his personal property. In the name of social justice he has done enough justice to his known family. The founders periyar, annadurai would be rolling in their graves.

Stalin Dy CM in Tamil Nadu. by vedanarayanan Andanallur on 2009-05-29 20:23:43.141835+05:30 Karunanidhi was close to Arignar Anna Dhurai and rightly succeeded him as CM of Tamil Nadu.Similarly when so many seniors of Anna durai er are still with him elevating Stalin clearly shows how selfish he is.Complaining and fooling repeatedly the uneducated massesabout the domination and attrocities (once upon a time) of Brahmins against Non Brahmins, what is this now,,,,Sons of all wives, daughter, nephew...only grand children are left.He could have nominated Azhagiri as Dy Prime Minister !and Kani Mozhi as President.

Family run democracy by Danesh on 2009-05-29 19:54:39.195934+05:30 It is shame for Indian democracy that most political parties run as Private limited as inherited property of their parents. But we people are foolish that we are supporting and casting our valuable votes to these Private limited parties. India wakes up and abolishes Pvt. Parties.....

THIS MOVE WAS LONG EXPECTED by Anand on 2009-05-29 17:32:18.418515+05:30 Although his dynastic leanings has made the job easy for Stalin to work his way through the top, yet it cannot be disputed that Stalin is a very hard worker who put in his developmental efforts on the ground and really cares for the masses. His calibre was evident when he was the Mayor in Chennai. It was during his tenure that Chennai built a record 23 Fly overs within a matter of two years which must be classified as a record of sorts. This move of Karunanidhi elevating Stalin was expected long back only to fructify now. Infact it would be good if Karunanidhi retires from active politics and hand over the reins to Stalin when he is very much alive as it will enable a smooth changeover putting in the backburner the inner party rivalry.

DMK Party by MOHAN DADDIKAR on 2009-05-29 17:16:02.316359+05:30 In India, most of the political parties are nothing but Private Ltd.Co.s So it is not surprising that Karunanidhi has handed over the charge to his son, Stalin. The memebers elected on that party ticket are only third-rate persons who cannot get elected on their own merit. So they meekly endorse all the dccisions of the Boss without any independent application of mind. India is still a feudal state even after sixty years of independence. Show me one British PM who has appointed his son or daughter as his heir to his political party. Democracy in India is only a farce. Lallu, Mulayam, Paswan ara other political leaders who have their private political outfits. Only In India, Rabadi Devi can jump from the kithcn to the post of CM of Bihar, a major state of India.

Kings in the name of democracy by g v ramachandra on 2009-05-29 17:11:10.687121+05:30 The new kings of the Independent India are following our old tradiations, by appointing their sons as heirapparent. After Punjab,it is the turn of Tamilnadu, to appoint the son of CM as DyCM. The reason given by the CM is his ill health and age. Why can't he take Vanaprasthashram, by appointing his son as CM? Are the other senior leaders of the party are incapable to hold the post of CM?

stone age by thilak on 2009-05-29 16:33:44.301482+05:30 We are going back to the stone age when kings had their son as successor. We should be ashamed that there is no one in the whole state who is capable of ruling the state, and just relying on these current kings to produce future kings. Where are we going?

Mooka is great by Kannan on 2009-05-29 15:57:51.512533+05:30 There is nothing wrong in the decision of Mooka. When Rahul is called yuvaraj and the dummy and puppet PM holding his chair warm for yuvaraj, then why not Mooka? After all, Mooka is cleverer than a fox. Indian herd and the spineless English media should know that he befriended both Sonia and the gang who made Sonia a widow. Mooka and his gang attacked Indira in 1980s when she visited Madras. Yet Sonia desparately needs him to coronate yuvaraj. Mooka and his gang swindled crores and crores of Indian tax payers' money. Yet, the so called honest and straight forward, great economist PM needs Mooka and his bunch of MPs. This is nothing but drainage politics.

Stalin finally made it! by R. Bhakther Solomon on 2009-05-29 15:52:38.481962+05:30 Well done Stalin - It is a great news to the DMK party cadres that Stalin has become the Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. A long yearning wish of Stalin came to reality. He has patiently waited for this reward. He was one of the victims of emergency in the State and was very severely beaten up in the jail. From the release till now, he has been striving very hard in the party to win the elections. Though in his younger days people had complained about his high-handed behaviors, from the day, he became the Chennai Mayor and then inducted into the ministry, he conducts himself in a very meticulous manner. In the recent election, he on behalf of the party leader shouldered the full responsibility and went to all the constituencies in Tamil Nadu for canvassing. But for his efforts the party / alliance would not have won many seats. He deserves to be the Chief Minister of the State. All the new entrants to the party from the family – Kanimozhi, Alagri and Maran and got something.

Family Rule by P V N Rao on 2009-05-29 15:50:41.586539+05:30 It is really a sad state of affairs. When people across the country were demanding why only one family should have the monopoly to govern the country I wonder what they may say regarding the states. In the past when India was ruled by small and big kings it was considered okay for the sons of the kings to rule the kingdoms. Now the politcal kings ensure that their siblings take charge as soon as the mother or father wishes to step donw the post.
