The Slumdog Millionaire actress Freida Pinto is busy working on her next project, an Israeli project titled Miral. The film, which is being directed by Oscar winner Julian Schnabel, will be completed sometime next year and is being currently shot in the old city of Jerusalem. The film is an adaptation of Italo-Palestinian Rula Jebreal’s book about Hind Husseini, who founded an orphanage in Jerusalem in the wake of the 1948 Partition of Palestine and the creation of the state of Israel. Williem Dafoe will be co-starring alongside Freida while Palestinian actor Hiam Abbas will play the lead role in the French-Israeli co-production. Besides this, Freida will also be seen in Woody Allen’s untitled project where she will be sharing screen space with Anthony Hopkins, Naomi Watts and Anupam Kher. While there were persistent rumours about her being the face of cosmetic giant Estee Lauder, Pinto is actually the new face for L’Oreal. With a new make-up deal and two upcoming movies, Pinto is the pin-up girl to grace the cover of various international magazines in the past few months.

Besides hosting a new season of the game show 10 Ka Dum, Salman Khan will be seen in quite a few films this year. First on the list is Main Aur Mrs Khanna, a comedy that pairs him up with Kareena Kapoor and brother Sohail Khan. Directed by debutant Prem Soni, the film revolves around the theme of extramarital affairs and is a joint production of Sohail Khan Productions and UTV Motion Pictures. The shooting is complete and is expected to release sometime in September. In brother Arbaaz Khan’s maiden production, Salman will be playing the role of a corrupt cop. Titled Dabangg, the film will be directed by Anurag Kashyap’s brother Abhinav and will mark the debut of Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter Sonakshi Sinha. Salman has also finished shooting for Vipul Shah’s magnum opus London Dreams with Katrina Kaif and Ajay Devgan. He has also wrapped up the shooting for Boney Kapoor’s Wanted Dead Or Alive which is scheduled to release in July.

The Golmaal bug seems to have caught Tusshar Kapoor. Though he has confirmed that he is a part of Rohit Shetty’s third instalment of Golmaal, speculations are rife that he might be playing a double role in the film. He is also working with Satish Kaushik in the remake of Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s Golmaal. He will be playing Amol Palekar’s role. Tusshar also recently announced that he would be working with Sagar Ballary in a new film. Besides this, he is looking forward to the release of Neeraj Vora’s comic caper Run Bhola Run in September wherein he plays Bhola, a thief by profession. He has also completed work on Rumi Jaffrey’s Life Partner wherein he plays a family-oriented guy who comes to India from South Africa to find a bride. Prachi Desai plays the female lead.
