Mumbai Mantra and Puja Entertainment Present an Anticlock Films Production Sorry Bhai, a complete family entertainer. In the romantic outing Sorry Bhai, Siddharth Mathur (Sharman Joshi) is a shy but charming young scientist who travels to Mauritius for his elder brother Harshvardhan's (Sanjay Suri) wedding. Accompanying him is his overbearing mother Gayatri (Shabana Azmi) and his jovial father Navin (Boman Irani), whose sole entertainment is pulling his wife's leg. Soon Siddharth and Harsh's fiancée, Aaliyah (Chitrangada Singh), find themselves irresistibly drawn to each other. They try their best to douse these feelings. But they keep coming back with renewed vigour. Soon, all hell breaks loose in the Mathur family.
When I started with Sorry Bhai I was looking out for a young woman for the lead role. That is when someone suggested Chitrangadha’s name to me. Frankly speaking I did not have a clue if she would even agree to read the script because she has already announced her premature retirement. Getting her phone number was another mammoth task and finally when I managed to contact her things worked out. Then after a few quick visits to Delhi, everything kind of worked out and fell into place. Soon everything was locked and immidiately we moved on with the project. The rest of the cast comprising of Sanjay Suri, Sharman Joshi, Boman Irani and Shabana Azmi was already in place so that helped us in beginning the shoot of the film. I guess it was the right time for me to shift genres and make something, which was truly different from what I have done in the past. It's a first romantic comedy for me and I am looking forward to a lot of fun.
THE BUZZ
The critically acclaimed Chitrangadha who was appreciated for her stellar performance in Hazaron Kwahishen Aisi makes a come back with Sorry Bhai.
