The film makers, actors, theaters make crores on depiction of such gruesome sites.Self denigration & flagellant approach by foreign directors of Indian conditions has recently received wide acclaim & euphoria amidst media & so called art critics & activists.
One wonders whether the film has any relieving feature or even remotely induces the rich & the affluent to mitigate the rigours of slum problems.
Mr. Amitabh Bachchan deserves full support & compliments for speaking out against such depiction of poverty squalor & dirt without any relieving feature. Years back Mrs. Nargis Dutt then an M.P, vouched similar views about famous trilogy of Satyajit Ray & rightly .
Such films should at least convey some message, some motivation to the public and more so the elite to come forward & improve their lot. Instead, the film makers, actors, theaters make crores on depiction of such gruesome sites, at times nauseating but totally meaningless.
One hopes, pseudo art critics, media & the elite do not acclaim such films but take example from films like "Tare jamin par" which are elevating, and motivating films.
