She is one of Hollywood's prettiest faces but that has not stopped Scarlett Johanson from considering an alternate career in film direction after she decides to quit acting.

The actress recently debuted as a director for a short film featuring Kevin Bacon scheduled for release in spring this year. Titled 'New York, I Love You', the film is a follow-up to 'Paris, Je T'Aime'.

In an interview to 'Harper's Bazar' 'The Spirit' star said she has plans to take up direction as a full time pursuit once her acting career is over.

"That's probably the direction I'll take; I can't keep up this face forever, you know," she said.

Johanson said she knew her career as an actress was temporary because Holllywood is extremely 'ageist'.

"There is some weird ageist quality in Hollywood.

Perhaps that's why I lean more toward directing and development. I know there will be a time when I won't be wanted any more," said Scarlett.
