Their journey begins from rural Punjab. Arjun (Ajay Devgn) aspires to be great singer and to perform at the Wembley. Living up to his name he is deeply focussed, even if it means going underground in London, playing flute at street corners or holding his emotions for his lady-love Asin. In contrast, Mannu (Salman Khan) is a boy who refuses to grow because it involves too much trouble., But the boy is truly gifted and it is another matter that he doesn’t realise it and wastes himself at the local wedding band.
As for the performances, London Dreams totally belongs to Salman Khan, he is the scene-stealer. You laugh with him or you sympathise with him.
Ajay Devgn provides the right contrast to Salman. He thrives in situations where he has to hold on to his emotions till the climax. Ajay’s seething intensity is fabulous. Asin’s character is half-baked and she disappoints. The biggest letdown is its music given by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, who have failed - all the songs are soulless except the climax song. The film deserves a three-and-half star rating from the audiences.
