Robert Redford weds in secret ceremony

Hollywood superstar Robert Redford has married his partner of many years, artist Sibylle Szaggars in a private ceremony in her native country of Germany. The 'Great Gatsby' star, 71 married Szaggars, 51, whom he has been dating since 1996, in an intimate ceremony in Hamburg over the weekend, reported Daily Mail online.

A German church confirmed its pastor presided over the ceremony which was attended by 30 of the couple's close friends and family. The 'Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid' actor who had become engaged to Szaggars last March, had earlier announced his intentions to marry again after his first marriage to actress Lola Van Wagenen ended in 1985. The couple have lived together at his 5,500-acre eco-friendly ranch in Utah, on the mountain resort he owns, where Redford's famous Sundance Institute is based, since the 1990s.
