Hollywood's latest heartthrob Robert Pattinson identifies with his character in the latest movie 'New Moon' who ruins his love-life in a stupid manner.

The British actor, who plays vampire Edward Cullen in the 'Twilight saga', said he always has doubts in relationships and messes it up without realising, reported More magazine.

Speaking of his character, he said, "In this one he's just lost. He doesn't know what to do. It's this typically male attitude when you find somebody you're in love with and your own doubts just keep messing up again and again. And then you realise as soon as you've messed up, you only have a few chances!"

"I'm like that every time! I'll do that with every relationship I ever have. As soon as I like them I start beating myself up to a point of ridiculousness and then they hate me to the point of dumping me," he added.

The 23-year-old, who is rumoured to be dating co-star Kristen Stewart, denies this but has said that girls are a lot more forward nowadays.

"You can always tell. I can be sitting at a restaurant and suddenly there's people sitting next to you and they're making sure that I see them. If a girl can't look at me as anything other than that, I probably don't want to go out with her," said Pattinson.
