After choreographing for movies like Wake Up Sid, London Dreams, Do Knot Disturb and other films, choreographer Remo D’Souza will now be directing a song that features Michael Jackson’s brother Jermaine Jackson. The song is Jermaine’s Jackson tribute to Michael Jackson’s fans in India and is called Go to Mumbai city. It will be shot at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminal, Gateway of India and other locations that reflect the true essence of Mumbai city. “I am very excited and it’s like a dream come true to be a part of this tribute being made for MJ fans by Jermaine. Adnan has used a lot of dhol beats and I’m planning to give some desi jhatka along with the moonwalk to the song,” says Remo. The album is being produced by T-Series with Divya Khosla Kumar as the director and features Adnan Sami. The song is conceptualised and styled by Divya Kumar and Jermaine will be wearing a khadi jacket in the video.

Raghav Sachar’s devotional remix
The popular aarti Om jai Jagdish Hare has been recorded by Raghav Sachar with nine different instruments for the full song, but for the downloads he has used five instruments and then closed it in his own vocals.
“I have used Western instruments for this Indian aarti. I have even worn the clothes that match with the instruments. Like for Tenore Saxophone, I have worn western clothes, while for the harmonica I wore a muffler in Rajesh Khanna style. I wore a sherwani with stole, while playing the flute, while with the hip-hop kind of youthful clothes, I played the soprano saxophone,” says Raghav.

An evening of sacred music
The Delhi International Arts Festival organised an evening of Sacred Music at Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre on October 5. The evening had performances by Aruna Sai Ram and Bhai Baldeep Singh. Aruna Sai Ram presented A Sacred Journey Through India, compositions of different bhakti poets from all parts of India, which left the audience mesmerised. Her rendition of bhajans in different languages made the evening memorable. The other performer of the evening was Bhai Baldeep Singh, who presented Gurbani in the medieval dhrupad style and was appreciated by the guests and audience present. Javed Akhtar was a special guest.
