To get into the life and times of the character, the director Shimit Amin insisted Ranbir understand how an office works. “I was totally alien to this world. Shimit wanted me to have a look at how an office runs, so we used to hang out in the Yash Raj corporate offices. He even played some DVDs on offices! Even our set was an office! So it was like never being out of office! Because of this, we used to be so engrossed in our characters, that most of the time we ended up calling each other by our character names!” shares Ranbir
Harpreet’s grandfather is played by Prem Chopra. As for Harpreet, “He’s modern, goes to parties, plays cricket…I think the character is about the youth of the country. It’s about the youth consumed by the desire of the brighter future, youth with honesty, integrity and a clear heart.
