Filmmaker Samir Karnik’s film Vaada Raha–I Promise, which was earlier titled Roshan, is on its way to completion. The film’s Digital Intermediate is almost complete. The film sees Karnik teaming up once again with Nanhe Jaisalmer actors Bobby Deol and Dwij Yadav.
Shot primarily in Mumbai, the film has been extensively shot at FIlm City, with a few scenes also being filmed at bungalows at Madh Island and on the streets in Mumbai. Its outdoor schedules include four days of shoot in Manali for the song Aaj aasmaan and six days of shooting across Istanbul and Izmir in Turkey for a romantic number Kabool. Sung by Shaan and Shweta Pandit, Aaj aasmaan has been choreographed by Piyush Panchal and Bosco Caesar. The latter has also worked on Kabool. The romantic number has been choreographed by Bosco-Caesar and sung by Sharmistha Chatterjee and Parthiv Gohil.
The film’s shooting was complete a few months ago, but the post-production work could not be taken up immediately as Karnik was busy working on Heroes, after which the producer-multiplex strike put projects on hold, according to the filmmaker. Shot over 34 days, the film is scheduled for an August-end release.
