Anil Kapoor who played quiz master in the Oscar-nominated film 'Slumdog Millionaire' is for actress daughter Sonam the best game on-screen show host ever.

‘Slumdog’ is loosely based on the format of the famous TV show 'Kaun Banega Krorepati' which had been previously hosted by Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, two giants of Bollywood.

"Of course, my dad is the best game show host. I have seen the movie and the performance of dad was excellent", said the actress who was in the capital on Friday to promote the '54th Idea Filmfare Awards.

"Slumdog which has all the elements of a typical Bollywood masala movie may just win the Oscar for its breathtaking performances and cinematography," said the ‘Sawariya’ actress.

Sonam, who attributes all her success and fame to her father said, "I am Anil Kapoor's daughter. I have got everything I want and I was born with a silver spoon. I am on top of the world now."

The actress will be seen in her second film 'Dilli-6' directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.

"I am lucky that I began my career with a Sanjay Leela Bansali film. Whether it is 'Saawariya' or 'Dilli-6', I am not playing just a glamour object in the film. My characters have substance", she said.

She is very confident about her on-screen chemistry with Abhishek Bachchan with whom she is starring in her next film project.

"We look great together and have a chemistry that comes once in a life time. I had a great time not only with Abhishek, but also with Aishwarya on the sets."

The promos of the film are already on air and the song 'Masakali' is generating a lot of buzz.

"Masakali is a bird in the film which is symbolic of me. The bird and me bonded really well. It was supposed to be on my shoulders but it perched above my head", says the self-confessed animal lover.

In her early 20s, the actress had faced comparisons with her contemporary, Deepika Padukone who also debuted in Bollywood with Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Om Shanti Om’. Deepika had won the best debut award.

"I can't compare myself to Deepika and Ranbir all the time. Yes, I did feel slightly upset that I didn't win the best newcomer award last year. But I am young, full of hope and invincible".

On being asked as why she has fewer films than the ‘OSO’ star, she chuckled, "Probably Deepika signs films faster than me”.
