MJThe 'Thriller' hitmaker wore the glove, which is studded with rhinestones.
Pop legend Michael Jackson's iconic glove which he wore the first time he performed his famous 'moonwalk' has been sold for a record USD 350,000 at an auction here.

The 'Thriller' hitmaker wore the glove, which is studded with rhinestones, when he showcased the now legendary move during the Motown's 25th-anniversary TV special in 1983.

The glove was the highlight of the auction at New York City's Times Square Hard Rock Cafe, which sold more than 70 items belonging to the late singer.

Interestingly, the pre-sale estimate of the legendary glove was around USD 60,000.

The other items at the auction included shoes and socks, a portrait of Charlie Chaplin drawn by Jackson as a child, an autographed shirt, a 1995 mercedes, posters, letters and a black jacket that the singer wore during his 'Bad World Tour' in 1987.

The sale is was organised by Julien's Auctions.
