While last year’s scantily-clad photos of the teen sensation caused outrage, this time round Cyrus and a group of male friends can be apparently seen pulling their eyes to mock Asians - while one Asian-American sits among them.
And the picture, which hit the Internet recently has enraged the Asian-American community.
Officials at advocacy group OCA are demanding an apology from Cyrus, reports ‘Contactmusic’.
The group's executive director says, "Not only has Miley Cyrus and the other individuals in the photograph encouraged and legitimised the taunting and mocking of people of Asian descent, she has also insulted her many Asian Pacific American fans.
"We hope that Miley Cyrus will apologise to her fans and the APA community for this lapse in judgment and takes the opportunity to better understand why the gesture is offensive."
