The pair had reportedly been photographed together twice since the 1992 thriller became a blockbuster sensation worldwide, the ‘Daily mail’ reported. Despite their age both stars looked refreshingly young, the newspaper said.
Douglas has gone under the knife nine years ago for a face-lift before his wedding to actress Catherine Zeta Jones.
But Stone has always said that she is a 'natural beauty' and in 2004 took legal action after a Beverly Hills doctor allegedly told a US magazine that he performed cosmetic surgery on her face.
Stone, who has three adopted sons, took up her role of the novelist Catherine Trammell for the sequel of Basic Instinct about three years ago while Douglas turned down the offer to play detective Nick Curran once again.
The sequel bombed at the box-office and was slammed by critics.
