Akshay-Twinkle
by Jaywanti Singh on 2009-04-05 22:58:44.05256+05:30 If a humorous hint at male burlesque that was more tongue in cheek than anything else is being investigated by Mumbai's police, then criminal elements in Mumbai must be laughing all the way to the bank. In a city where rape, sexual harassment of women, thievery and thuggery are rampant, not to mention the sight of hundreds of thousands of men, women and children relieving themselves in public, the police find this innocuous act offensive? Its reminiscent of the Taliban who think that mass starvation and stoning women to death are perfectly respectable, but the idea of a woman showing an ankle in public is gross indecency. The world must be laughing at India.

by ashoka kumar jha on 2009-04-05 14:23:07.251104+05:30 this is certainly radiculous and absured, infact therewas nothing shocking and obscene in that act of unbuttoning by twinkle. What the courts are doing by accepting these type of cases?

Talibanising the society
by swapan chakravarthy on 2009-04-05 10:46:46.448689+05:30 Times are changing. While the act itself is not desirable, we cannot behave like talibanising the society. We can only ask them to behave like a normal husband and wife when they are in public. But the moot question is why did Akshay need help in unbuttoning his jeans? I guess when he went to the primary school he was sufficiently toilet trained for the purpose! Or is it another box office gimmick after the failure of his recent film.

How Backward Can Some Get!
by Rajan Shete on 2009-04-05 09:16:49.789163+05:30 I really don't get it! Akshay was merely proposing to 'expose' his pink chaddi, thereby expressing his solidarity with that great, earth shaking movement.I mean, Instead of just SAYING SO, he was actually bringing that great progressive philosophy in practice-----and just see the mess some 'backward' people have created! Now, we don't even know whether he was ACTUALLY wearing a pink chaddi or not!:mad:

Wake up!
by Just doit on 2009-04-05 07:52:09.758099+05:30 Why does a citizen has to file a case in such incidences? Why cant the home department act? It is their failure or running away from crimes. Sure the outcome wont put the culprits behind the bar, in fact glorifu them further.

by Manoharan on 2009-04-05 05:20:36.837875+05:30 Mr. Anil Nair please take up a worthy cause instead of concentrating on such trifle matters. I am sure there are much important matters facing the country. That guy has already apologised. And it's not a big deal anyway????
