Popstar Leona Lewis has turned down 1 million pound offer from Playboy magazine to pose naked for them. The 'Bleeding Love' singer formally received the seven-figure contract offer earlier this week but decided to keep her clothes on, reported Daily Mail online.

"Playboy think Leona would make a real statement for them as a magazine, and show they remain relevant in the modern world. They are prepared to pay through the nose to sign up Leona," said a source in the magazine.

Friends of the 2007 X-Factor winner say that she is "too shy" for such a provocative shoot and no amount of money will get the 23-year-old to strip.

"There is no way Leona will strip however much they offer. For starters, she is just far too shy," said a source.

Other celebrities who have stripped off for the magazine in the past include actresses Denise Richards, Drew Barrymore and Kim Basinger and singer LaToya Jackson.

Bizarrely, last month, X Factor judge Dannii Minogue told how she had decided to pose for a Playboy cover shoot 14 years ago.

At the time, Minogue owed more than 150,000 pounds but she was too proud to turn to her older sister Kylie Minogue for help.

"I don't regret it, but I feel relieved that people know why I did it it's a huge weight off my shoulders. It was actually fun and I did feel liberated," she had said.
