"Critical acclaim is more important. But professionally, success at the box office cannot be overlooked," Kunal told reporters.
"A movie does not belong to me alone. We have to think from the cast and crew's perspective," he said.
The 25-year-old who debuted in 2005 with 'Kalyug' has had three releases so far. This year, he is making up for the low quantum as three of his movies namely 'Dhoondte Reh Jaoge', 'Jai Veeru' and '99' are slated for release.
Talking on the eve of 'Dhoondte...' release, Kunal, looking dapper and sporting a short crop, said the movie is a laugh riot with some excellent on-screen chemistry between him, Soha Ali Khan, Sonu Sood and Paresh Rawal.
"It is a mad film. I play the character of middle-class youth who can go to any length to marry Soha," he added.
The movie is due for release on March 9.
