Remember Kulraj Randhawa who played the title role in the sitcom Kareena Kareena? Well, the pretty lass is making her film debut with Chintuji wherein she plays a PRO to Rishi Kapoor, who plays himself in the film. “For the first time, any actor is playing himself for the entire film and he is shown to be getting into politics. I, being his PR, help him bridge the gap between him and the people of a small-town from where he wants to contest,” says Kulraj. Her love interest in the film is Priyanshu Chatterjee. She is also looking forward to Mastang Mama wherein she stars opposite the 1920 and Teree Sang hero Ruslan Mumtaaz. Kulraj plays a cop in the film, which is an out-and-out comedy. Incidentally, Kulraj was to make her Hindi debut with Kapil Sharma in Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron but the film is yet to release. “It is ready, I don’t know what is happening to it,” says the actress who has already done a Punjabi film, Mannat with Jimmy Shergill.

Fun to cook
You have seen Sarita Joshi playing the strict Baa in control of her joint family in Baa Bahoo Aur Baby. Now, a fun side to her will be revealed in 9X’s new show, Kuch Kook Hota Hai, where she teams up with Manish Paul. Starting September 7, the show will have a wannabe cook dreaming of making it big as a chef and in the pursuit of his dream he attempts cooking some dishes that he believes are delectable delights. What the wannabe chef doesn’t know is that his daadi is a veteran when it comes to cooking and many other things in life. Also, for the first time in the history of a cookery show, the chef will give out the recipe through an entertaining song-and-dance snippet followed by a presentation. Says Sarita, “I am delighted to be a part of the Kuch Kook Hota Hai, which will also feature some of my favourite recipes.” The half-an-hour format of the series will showcase two recipes per episode, cooked by both daadi and Manu, along with very useful tips (daadi’s nuskhe) for good health/digestion to sum-up the episode.
