Moss who had sang with ex boyfriend Pete Doherty's band 'Baby Shambles' wanted to repeat the routine with her current partner but with Mosshart's disapproval it would not be soon that the 35 -year-old would get to make some music of her own.
Moss has been trying to make her way into the two member rock ensemble, as she did with Doherty's band Baby shambles but Alison said she wouldn't be interested in collaborating with Kate, adding, "I don't understand how it would be appropriate," reported ‘Daily Mail’.
Alison insisted that Kate hadn't changed anything between her and Jamie, adding, " Of course not. No, nothing between us has changed. We've known each other for 12 years, we're best friends."
Moss's previous singing credits include, Babyshambles album track La Belle Et Le Bete and she was also given songwriting credits on four tracks on the band's second album Shooter's Nation.She also contributed vocals to Primal Scream's 2003 song Some Velvet Morning.
