




Dhanush’s Mayakkam may get shelved
There is a buzz doing the rounds that the Dhanush-starrer Idhu Malai Nerathu Mayakkam may be shelved. The film, which was to be directed by hitmaker Selvaraghavan (Dhanush’s elder brother), has reportedly been shelved because the director is busy with other projects, especially a Tamil film and a Hindi one. His Aayiraththil Oruvan, starring Paruththiveeran fame Karthi, is also awaiting release. There are reports that Selvaraghavan may take-up Idhu Malai Nerathu Mayakkam at a later stage. Let’s wait and see.
Yajness Shetty moves South-wards
Chitah Yajness Shetty, Bollywood’s famous martial arts experts and fight- master, has now moved towards South and his just released Kannada film Yuvah is reportedly doing very well. And incidentally the success is being attributed to the fights and action in the film. This K.Narendra Babu-directed film stars new artistes Kaarthick, Madhu Sharma and Chandrashekhar. Narendra Babu has now signed Shetty for his next film. Flooded with offers, Shetty may now shift base to the South.
Bhojpuri superstar in Telugu film
Sudip Pandey, the superstar of Bhojpuri films, will soon be seen in a Telugu film. Director S V Krishna Reddy was so impressed by the performances of Sudip in his Bhojpuri films Bhojpuriya Daroga and Masiha Babu that he signed him for his next Telugu film Shri Vari Muchatlu. The shooting of the film was completed within a month and plans are on to release it soon. Shreya Narayan is the heroine opposite Sudip.
Shooting of Topi Ghala Re complete
The entire shooting of the Marathi film Topi Ghala Re is now complete. Produced by Subhash Jadhav, Atul Rajkule, Mrs. Sujata Mahendra Sawant and Vinod Ghodavat and made under the banner of Shri Vijayalakshmi Production and Manali Productions, the film is directed by Umesh Namjoshi. Arun Nalawade, Nirmiti Sawant, Alka Kubal, Smita Talwalkar, Priya Berde, Mukta Barve, Mangesh Desai, Pushkar Shrotri, Vijay Chavan and Vijay Kadam comprise the cast.
Ankganit Anandacha on floors
The shooting of the Marathi film Ankganit Anandacha started recently in Mumbai and scenes were canned on Sandeep Kulkarni, Aishwarya Narkar, Sulabha Deshpande, Master Rahul Phalke, Smita Oak, Ganesh Revdekar and Girish Joshi. Producd by Arpan Gujar and Nilesh Joshi, the film is directed by Nilesh Joshi.
