There are bad apples evrywhere in every society. Because of Hitler we can't say Bible preaches bad. Because of Modi/Thackeray/advani we can't say that thier religion preaches that. The problem is deeper. It is the international aggression in Afganistan, Palestine, Iraq and problems of muslims in kashmir and india that gives fire to more aggressive behaviour. Certainly as other religion Islam has no place for killing innocent. Allah says in Surah Maida ,verse 5 that "if you kill one innocent human it is as if you have killed mankind and if one saves a life it is as if we saved entire mankind". Also as Arundhati roy say ..when victims refuse to be victims they become aggressive sort of. Denial of justice will invite more such unjust behaviour. We also see our problems with a narrow perspective.Our religious belief come into picture posing it as a EGO. Instead of going back to our teachings we just fight for our superiority.I hope JUSTICE is the word for all instead of "aggressiveness"

Be practical in your expectation

I think that the lone caught terrorist must be punished severely in current scenario even if he gets a sence of 3-4 years of imprisonment, will be a precedence in itself. While so many are praising the security forces, I wonder if they were far too heavy handed in their approach? It seems to me that capturing these militants alive (as many as possible) should have been the preferred approach, so that a clear picture of who is/was behind then could be ascertained. If the sole survivor refuses to "sing" ... then? What absolute terror those poor hostages went through leading to their massacre. Pot-bellied and slow on the uptake. They could not even manage crowd control around the sites of the attacks. The image sent round the world was of chaos and confusion instead of a cool and clearly thought out response. The Indian govt's whole attitude towards terrorism is one of laxity and 'chalta hai'. The intelligence agencies are equally useless. How could they not have had any inkling of this incident, if indeed it was planned over months. We still don't know how these murderers got into the hotels with rifles. Did they have agents in the hotels who let them in? Probably will never know as the agents are surely killed by now. Blaming Pakistan is one thing the govt does easily but in this case I really do not think the Pak govt itself was directly involved. The whole security apparatus needs to be revamped completely.
