Hello Indians! by Cusazk on 2008-11-30 00:48:18.0508+05:30 My condolence to all indians for the war strike in Mumbai. We in europe are in total grave with the act of terrorism. I congrate Indian Commandos for their actions. Bravo! Now all Indians regardless of Hindu or Muslim should stand together and fight this terror. Hit back right at their heart where it hurst. Let the teorrist know, India is untouchable. I've been to India and it's a beautiful country, and don't let the terrorist take that from you. Indians are well known for their honour and dignity, it's time you show the world that no one messes with India. God bless you.

Heartfelt Sympathy by Doris on 2008-11-30 00:39:17.216992+05:30 As a foreigner I am deeply saddened by the atrocities committed in Bombay, which is one of the great cities on the planet. It’s the spirit and resilience of the people I hugely admire.Seeing the Taj burn was utterly heartbreakingIt’s extremely sad that Bombay has lost 3 top cops. My thoughts are with the all victims and their families.Despite several terrorist attacks in the past the police is still ill equipped, I think it took too long to deploy the Special Forces, who did a fantastic job. I believe many lives could have been saved had they been at the scene earlier.I hope you will send your corrupt, uneducated, pathetic, self-serving politicians packing, especially those who encourage hatred among the communities. It’s time to gather strength and stand united. Yes, you can do it!

will we ever wake up? by Siva on 2008-11-30 00:33:19.777057+05:30 We have spineless and brainless politicians as leaders of the country. Will they release the actual number of indians dead. From my friends brother who is Taj employee says that more than 500 people have been killed. But they are releasing the total dead as 200 including the dead count from CST as 75. Why didnot they announce a curfew after the incident. why didnot they announce a media black out. the media has compromised the surprise of the special forces attack. NDTV has shown the exact location of snipers. Are they working for India or giving information to the terrorists. Burkha dutt is not teling the terrorists are from Pakistan and say it could be from hindu terrotists. In addition our honorable home minister also released the exact orbat of the special forces and the time of the attack. If the attackers are muslims media is referring them as militants or gunmen f there is a possibility they are hindu without remorse media is referring the attackers as Hindu terrorists.

Let us work together - reply to Afzal by Raj on 2008-11-29 23:33:56.240806+05:30 Agree partially. I think, first we should also take care of the terrorists inside. This operation was not possible without internal support. Startegy should multi-pronged, punishment for the hard-core and additionally education/enlightenment for the misguided. But the initiative has to come from the minority community. It is as much your country as it is mine. I have no doubt that most of the people in minority community are as patriotic as I am, but it is the call of our times that they show it to the people, who doubt them. Get education, join public service, armed forces etc. Once this side of the minority is visible to majority community, they will embrace you. Let us work together as Indians.

if war ocuur by sami ullah on 2008-11-29 23:29:37.205588+05:30 It is a folish thing which the governments think as piece with guns and bombarment, becoz gun can shoot never bring piece. If some country have justice with its ppls their i believe piece can b stablized. so i will advice the representators of this world to bring justice rather than firring and shooting. we already have given much fire to this world. we have to open our eyes and should face the reality. recently in india a big incidence took place in mumbai. Now the politicains will play their role to boost up their parties. they will play game with ppls.they never feel how much ppl die becoz they are only concerned with thier politics. they will get adventage by blaming pakistan. if the war ossur tell me who will die: only common man :who is only cheapiest thing in south asia countries.

The practical solution.. what you and I can do.. by Indian on 2008-11-29 22:18:00.994791+05:30 Please look at the point that is made. The point is these terror strikes will keep happening so long as Congress is in power, since Congress supports Parliment attackers, just because they are muslims.. though 17 of our soldiers died in that gun battle in Parliament, Congress/Sonia/the PM support Geelani and Afzal. That kind of behaviour from Congress tells the (muslim) terrorists that so long as Congress is in power, they can keep hitting India.. And, people like Advani and BJP are opposed to terrorism. That is the point. So, you and I cannot do much, except vote BJP and support them in their fight against terror..

Crass Title by abhinav on 2008-11-29 21:08:47.732037+05:30 What a Crass Title of Article! Whom did India hit back? Of course the terrorists who were holed up in hotels after killing hundreds had to be gunned down-no one was asking them to award trophies. Apart from this natural course of action, where did we hit back? The locals who supported terrorists are scot free. Dawood is scott free. Politicians who are supporting terrorist are scott free. All terrorist master minds are scott free. So where did we hit back? In the fleshy portion of our own bottoms, isn't it!

Indians Unite by FPB on 2008-11-29 20:51:25.190598+05:30 What I would like to know is where was Raj Thackeray and his "Marathi manoos" who did not even turn out to show solidarity with "his Mumbai". They were as conspicuous in their absence as was the presence of the brave Indians who came from other parts of India to fight the terrorists! Raj Thackeray did not even bother to show his face! All kudos to the police, army, NSG, ATS, fire crews and everyone else who pitched in to help so selflessly. Our thoughts are with the families of the deceased. I hope this will unite us as a country. We must not forget that we are Indians first, regardless of community, state, class or caste.

If you cant then let indian army walk through pakisthan clear all this terrorists camps . IMF should not give loan to pakisthan till they do this. Visit by thier ISI chief will only facilitate more terror as everybodyknows it is the ISI which supports and run this camp.

INDIA INTROSPECT by SHREYAS on 2008-11-29 19:52:47.274932+05:30 i think we're going a little overboard to send millitary forces into pakistan to 'flush' out terrorist.it is a serious blow to the integrity of a country, and even more because it is our neighbour.a hundred years back they were 'our' people.another aspect is that india as a country is not a solitary state.we are accountable to the world atleast in terms of manner as these.such is the status of our country.rather than cracking the whip on pakistan,we should focus on our intelligence, security and networking.of course, the denial of pakistan's involvement is just short of humour. In these times, should we not introspect?Men with hearts died because 'we' didn't have information.blaming the govt.-of the people,by the people, for the people is ridiculous.we,the people of india, must remain alert.saying this is much more easy than it seems.a couple of weeks from now, when the euphoria and surprise has died,we'll be back to our normal selfish way of life-me and my work.

It will not be different this time either. by abhijit on 2008-11-29 19:46:19.86935+05:30 Indian armed forced always got a raw deal from Indian political establishment. Congress is the main culprit. They handed back Lahore and a big part of Pakistan which Indian army captured in 50s war while Pakistan never gave Indian Territory (POK and Aksai China) back even when they promised. Pakistan never fulfils any promise they make when they are defeated and always use this deceiving tactics to fool Indian politicians (may be money and/or personal image is involved here for Indian policy makers, as was the case of Jawaharlal Nehru). As a result we regularly loose our brave soldiers and innocent citizens by the proxy war by Pakistan and deny a convincing victory over Pakistan and Islamic terrorists. It will not be different this time either.

India hits back ONLY AFTER BEING HIT HARDER by Pratik on 2008-11-29 19:19:54.041097+05:30 Let us Indians( irrespective of religion, caste etc.) face the facts. The terror attack was more than successful. A lot of lives were lost. Many families lost their dear ones for ever. Taj and Oberoi Tridant will get repaired and painted. But the lives are devasted for ever. The terroristes did what they possibly could. So did our elite NSG and ATF and assiciates (including the medical staff) as a retaliation. If we do not accept defeat we will never be victorious. And blaming muslims or Pakistan alone (everytime) does not free us from the reality. let us look around ourselves and into ourselves. So much corruption, abuse of power and greed is foating everywere. And not to forget HATRED and JEALOUSY. There are so many factors. Religion has become the easiest blame game of all. I am writing today about the aftermath what i witnessed from a virtual distance. And i am alive. Tomorrow i may be blown up somewhere like this. My body lying in some hospital waiting to be identified.

Dawood by ARH on 2008-11-29 19:04:12.144606+05:30 It is a shame that Dawood and his cohorts have not been brought to justice. The BJP govt when in power made a push for his extradition. Failed State by Nitin Guru on 2008-11-29 17:59:06.761937+05:30 It is nice to hear the world add their two bit lip service to the tragedy in Mumbai, but India has lost 17 brave soldiers, besides all the innocent indians and foreigners. I feel it is about time the world started focusing its attention on Pakistan, because all the 9/11, 7/7 and 27/11 attacks has its origin in Pakistan. Pakistan is a failed state and has no control over all the terrorists that it has trained officially and unofficially. It is an asian 'Somali'. Yet the IMF gives it a loan to help Pakistan carry on arming its terrorists. The very fact that Pakistan has already gone into its denial mode and pretensions that they have a well disciplined society explains it all. Besides being jealous of the progress made by India in all spheres, the Pakistanis also realise that Kashmir is not revolting and not interested in joining Pakistan.

Terror strike by sunit on 2008-11-29 17:52:53.850537+05:30 Is it wise to involve Pakistan Govt. in the investigations at this juncture? It is common knowledge that they have no control over their western regions, militant organizations and their training camps, ISI, military establishment. They are as helpless and clueless as our own agencies. As happened in other bomb blast cases, nothing would come out of this. Only difference this time is that elitist society is also affected. While the man on the street has no protection, more protection will be provided for the VIPs, their kith and ken at state expense.

End of a good relationship? by George on 2008-11-29 17:02:46.942122+05:30 Great work by Indian Security Apparatus. When the world was watching with bated breath they went about their task at hand with utmost caution and bravery. I salute the brave men and women who put their lives in the line of fire. I pray for the families of those who died in the attack. May peace be on their souls. The group responsible for this attack wants to destabilize the relations between India, Pakistan and US. Since they saw that Zardari was warming up to India, and finally a premier was actually extending a hand of friendship and meant it, was creating flutters in the Pakistani military and ISI. Since everyone knows that the Pak controls the ISI and they inturn control the various terror elements, its easy to fathom that ultimately it might be the Pak army behind this attack, with or without the permission of their civilian govt. there must be an end to terrorism by khan on 2008-11-29 14:29:24.110288+05:30 where are the brave people who talk about terrorism on the TV screen just for their political gain... it was the real time for them to show their bravery to kill the culprits who were involved in this attack.. as everyone says that we are used to it and we will definitely forget about this attack in week time or so... every time the innocent people die in such attacks whether it is hindu or mulims all of them who died in this attack were indians............ its the time for indian people to get united against terrorism specially muslims why every time muslims think that this is the war against muslims everyone today know that there is no religion of terrorism, find out the people among us who may be involved in further planning to attack our nation...the terrorists can tell a lot of reasons about the babri masjid and gujrat and kashmir and so on ............ but there are other ways to protest ... terrorism will only bring terrorism.

1 I agree
by Salaam on 2008-11-29 18:03:29.541046+05:30I agree with you. Aggression invites aggression. The root cause has to be dealt with. Injustice invites injustice. There are bad apples evrywhere in every society. Because of Hitler we can't say Bible preaches bad. Because of Modi/Thackeray/advani we can't say that thier religion preaches that. The problem is deeper. It is the international aggression in Afganistan, Palestine, Iraq and problems of muslims in kashmir and india that gives fire to more aggressive behaviour. Certainly as other religion Islam has no place for killing innocent. Allah says in Surah Maida ,verse 5 that "if you kill one innocent human it is as if you have killed mankind and if one saves a life it is as if we saved entire mankind". Also as Arundhati roy say ..when victims refuse to be victims they become aggressive sort of. Denial of justice will invite more such unjust behaviour. We also see our problems with a narrow perspective. Our religious belief come into picture posing it as a EGO. Instead of going back to our teachings we just fight for our superiority.I hope JUSTICE is the word for all instead of "aggressiveness"

by Shabnam on 2008-11-29 22:46:35.096479+05:30Are u justifying these acts by blaming events in Kashmir. Why not talk mass uprooting of Kashmiri Hindus and continued killing of pilgrims and Hindu villagers. These terrorists are quick to point out how army is killing them, even as they hoist Pakistani flags in their protests on street (on Indian soil). These are no Mujahadeens, but Mujabeens playing/responding to the beena music from Karachi and Pakistani ISI. I say cremate these dead terrorists and flush them. Those who defile Indians must be defiled. No burial on Indian soil.

Majority of indian subcontinent people are religious those who has no clear cut policies. All the religion says about creation is wrong (FLAT EARTH THEORY) we study science ie says different about creation. Both can't be right agree.which one flat earth according to religion or sperihical earth according to science. Since everyone knows science is wright, then what is the point of fighting for the sake of false religion instead living peacefully like good humanbeing. As Ratan tata blamed govt for failure I would like to ask few questions to himWhen you charge 25000 for one room can't you invest some money in better security system.Aren't you suppose to have security cameras with 24hrs survellience If these would have been there around parking area the gates could have been closed .Some of terrorist had checked few days back and were living doesnt it become duty of hotel to keep eye on suspicious elements.Communication network was established in hotel,Ammuniation was stocked in hotelOne of terrorist was working as intern for 10 month. Is Mr.Tata just busy making money and doesnt care how it is made. When he makes money i Taj isnt he suppose to pay for operation cost and to deprieved families. When nation ask him to lower prices the Indian Inc doesnt do it for nationBut when danger comes on his hotel he stand up to speakwhere were they when bomb attacks occured at other places

We were told atleast the explosive laden truck was stopped and noticed by the security in Patriot - We dont have any news about the Terrorist being stopped or checked or spotted and information relayed to police/military. What do the suurvellience cameras tell now. Let the Tata take initiative and check the antecedents of all those who stayed in the hotel for last 6 months. Are all the guests genuine and traceable persons. This should throw a lot of light. i wish the TATAs had entrusted the job to TCS to do this job immediately. We respect the TATAs but they also should own responsibility for their lapses.

Even if the hotel authorities had those surveillance is it possible to stop those dreaded people by private securities. In Marriott( not patriot) attack the truck was stopped by security because they acted promptly on their intelligence report. But what happened here, Mr.Deshmuk is telling there was no intelligence information. If only you had had good education in your younger days you would have realised that the dangerous divide and rule policies of the Congress has resulted in Pakistan and some other elements in hurting us time and again. The only thing that can save the country is to get rid of the Congress once and for all, especially that Italian lady who wants to divide and rule this country. They have done enough damage to India in their 60 years of rule. It is time to sanitise the country of the scourge of Congress politics.

by s ramji on 2008-11-29 14:03:11.96194+05:30If people view the events without bias they will notice that M Singh certainly needs to be congrajulated. Though some or many lives might have been lost, he did not surrender to Pakistan like Advani,Vajpayee and Jaswant Singh. It is really surprising that the media is not at all comparing the attack with what happened in Kargil. While all terrorist have been killed in the operations at Mumbai- In kargil Advani allowed hundreds of Terrorists to walk free in the name of making peace with Pakistan. Shame on Advani and Modis who claim they taked terrorism. They were the weakest government and the terrorist had the guts to attack the Parliament house. Instead of joining had with the People for figting terror they are asking votes in Delhi and Rajasthan based on terror. Let people remember what NDA did in Kargil before deciding whom to vote- Should be vote the party which ensured all terrorists killed and one captured or the Part which let terrorists both in the Kandhar episode and Kargil episode.

I think that the lone caught terrorist must be punished severely in current scenario even if he gets a sence of 3-4 years of imprisonment, will be a precedence in itself. He should be given only one time food in jail, no television and further he should not be provided with any cell phone. I request government and especially Arjun Singh and Mulayam Singh and honorable Lalu yadav stay away for asking immediate bail for such dreaded terrorist. At least he must also learn some civilty. Then only it will be big lesson to all other terrorists. Now they think if they are caught, then they will get all amenities and just one month remand thats why they have no fear. If our government does it , It will set a great precedence and these cowardice (terrorists) will think twice before commiting such heinous crime.

How many hostages took bullets from the reckless and careless shooting spree. While so many are praising the security forces, I wonder if they were far too heavy handed in their approach? It seems to me that capturing these militants alive (as many as possible) should have been the preferred approach, so that a clear picture of who is/was behind then could be ascertained. If the sole survivor refuses to "sing" ... then? What absolute terror those poor hostages went through leading to their massacre. I wonder if the autopsies will reveal how many were murdered by the militants, and how many were actually "collateral damage".

Let the police complete its investigation, i heard Personnel from three different countries (USA, UK, ISRAEL) are comming to India to conduct forensic investigation. So lets hope it is not one of our neighbors. Also as long there are illiterate people in India, who dont know what there rights are, does not even care whats happening across India, these politicians will always find their way to Parliament. Indian politicians are more to blame than Pak terrorists by Jay on 2008-11-29 09:39:17.345209+05:30 If our Sardarji PM and his Italian mistress has any shame left, they need to destroy all terrorist training camps inside POK and Pak and ready for a decisive war against Pak. It’s useless to talk “peace” with mad dogs. We must learn to speak the language these terrorists understand and that is the language of force. USA and West may make movies and talk great things about Gandhi but when they deal with Bin Laden, Al-quida or terrorism they use brute force first. Our political leadership not only destroyed the country but irreversibly damaged whatever self-respect and dignity we had so far.

Anti Terror Mechanism by Viswambharan P.K. on 2008-11-29 09:37:14.836516+05:30 We generally have a tendency to indulge in blame game instead of seriously considering measures to have adequate system in place to counter terror attacks be it from within or engineered from outside. We do have the resources to do it. But the political will is not visible. The hotels attacked in Bombay were all symbols of India's rising economic power and such properties needed to be protected. We also need to have separate law and order set up for each Metros and all the upcoming cities besides strengtheing coastal security where the personnel should be provided with most modern equipment and resources to have round the clock check on such activities. As for political parties, there were some unnecessary critisisms on the Melagoan probe and one Sanyasini politician even offered ticket to the fraud Pragya Singh to contest elections. See, one of the most efficient Police officer, the ATS chief got killed in the recent. Now what these people has got to say on this?

Terrorist attack at Taj by Ram P Gianani on 2008-11-29 09:06:06.12993+05:30 With great difficulty and after fighting for almost 62 hours the operation was finally successful and all the terrorist either died or arrested. However, what is more important to note that they were almost knowing everything in the hotel and must have either worked or stayed in the hotel to know the complete information about hotel. The security agencies/management have completely ignored this resulting into a situation like they were playing in their home town. Our country is largest exporter of software and there afer softwares available which are useful for monitoring the situations outside. Proper security/software must be installed at all the entrances of hotels to enable them to control and over come situations like this. Secondly even managements must be careful in ascertaining who is doing what activity to enable to work proactively.

Police loosing teeth in ruling parties changing by Sarath on 2008-11-29 09:04:51.044168+05:30 Bombay police once upon a time good, but the later subsequent governments changed them lot. that is the problem in Democracy especially only in India (prob. same for other countries except western countries). This congress, NCP gov. taught cops again corruption, biased investigations etc., so they'll mould according to gov. rules. Entire India Supreme court should rule out all police in all states are independent, no pressures from Gov. will clear lot of headaches. If you see in AP, the anti-terror pollice are efficient when Naidu's gov. but when Y.S. Reddy came to power, he shifted the efficient officer from Old city, just for the sake of minority votes. Then MIM of muslim legue helpted anti-national elements, and Hyderabad paid price, experienced two horrific bombings, one riot etc., So entire credit to current congress gov. and corrupted YSR. He also removed POTA type rule, now old city in Hyderabad becomes worser than Karachi. But congress gov. expects these muslim votes getspower

If the political head in India has the least bit of concern for the populace they need to do some or all of the following: a) Give sweeping powers, funds to RAW b) Create a federal department to tackle interlnal terrorism (headed by the armed forces) since the Home Ministry is a total dummy c) Create a separate ATS type intelligence/police setup team in every state to manage and co-ordinate initial response to such attacks since these now have become sophisticated d) Pre-emptively and pro-actively eliminate heavy-weight terrorist targets be it anywhereIf some or all of these provisions exist currently, for God-sakes, implement them

Terrorist Attack by Faiz Hakim on 2008-11-29 05:54:45.434472+05:30 If any fellow Indian Muslims believe that this incident was stage-managed then they are mistaken. It is the small core of right-winger Muslims, who are anti-India in their sentiments, and perhaps also a larger group of those amongst us who are mentally challenged who can believe this. Assume for an instance that it is indeed a conspiracy hatched by Hindu Terrorists as postulated by these mentally challenged individuals. Why would these groups use terrorists who use guns in a standoff with the Indian security forces because in the end they would be killed and identified would they not? Would it help the cause of VHP/RSS/Bajrang Dal if it were found out that it was not Abdul from Karachi but instead Ram from Mumbai who was wielded the gun? And then consider their target selection i.e. mainly innocent bystanders and US/British citizens. No this operation has all the hallmarks of a suicide group with Islamist leanings unfortunately. I am even more ashamed now than before.

why doesn't the government gas them with some sleeping gas by Sanjay on 2008-11-29 05:24:50.811204+05:30 There much better methods to handle terrorist then the tactics used by government, which is in denial of Muslim terrorist. They can easily use tear gas, smoke to clear a room, or sleeping gas. and then one by one secure each room instead of firing widely bullets, IR and other means. Why the government dos not use snippers is questionable, instead of random gun fire. If truly these are Pakistani we should have a high alert on the border, and prepare our military. If government is denying Indian Muslim role in terrorism it is of high shame. Remember Kashmir terrorist gave one day notice to Hindus to leave Kashmir, they raped, murder, and stole all their business. Further not one help from the government of India to protect its citizen their lives and livelihood, instead peace with Pakistan who genocided Hindus in its own country.

Enough is enough!!! by Prateek Awasthi on 2008-11-29 02:51:55.80093+05:30 The Home Minister of India is the most incompetent man in all of Delhi. He is in the cabinet because he was a friend and loyalist of Rajiv Gandhi. Why is modern times are people being given positions because of family loyalties? What is the price the country is paying for this? Kick out Shivraj Patil and get someone else who is competent and can protect the country from terrorist attacks. If Sonia Gandhi doesnt act quickly, she is in danger of losing the elections. Then we will have BJP who are equally incompetent but more harmful as they will bring in POTA and start targetting Muslims - giving terrorists more reasons to attack and others more reasons to sympathise with their dastardly acts. Get your act together, Congress party. As young people in this country, we need to start demanding more from our leaders. And leave hooligans like Raj Thakrey out of such discussions. Terrorist attack by S Modak on 2008-11-29 00:54:07.044186+05:30 The Bombay police used to be the best in India at one time. Now they are as useless as any other police force in India. Pot-bellied and slow on the uptake. They could not even manage crowd control around the sites of the attacks. The image sent round the world was of chaos and confusion instead of a cool and clearly thought out response. The Indian govt's whole attitude towards terrorism is one of laxity and 'chalta hai'. The intelligence agencies are equally useless. How could they not have had any inkling of this incident, if indeed it was planned over months. We still don't know how these murderers got into the hotels with rifles. Did they have agents in the hotels who let them in? Probably will never know as the agents are surely killed by now. Blaming Pakistan is one thing the govt does easily but in this case I really do not think the Pak govt itself was directly involved. The whole security apparatus needs to be revamped completely.

Your thinking has been corrupted so much that most of you people have lost power to think logically. The whole world , the eyewitnesses are all foolish. The statements of the Turkish Muslim couple who were spared for being a Muslim. This reminded me of formation of Islamic religion in India during Muslim Rule. There were three options 1 Pay Extra Tax 2 Convert to Islam 3 Die..The fore fathers of the present day Muslims in India chose to convert. Please remember we have a common Heritage. My earnest request to you all is to think logically and be thankful to God that during partition, your fathers chose to stay back. See where is Pakistan and what are they refered as. TERROR SHOULD BE STRICTLY DEALT WITH by Manbir Singh Pabla on 2008-11-28 23:30:00.959491+05:30 We have witnessed a dreadful year 2008 ,terror attacks in every metropolitan and financial turmoil.Terrorism is not letting us to grow peacefully and harmoniously. Here are my views to stop this terror 1)Have a global anti terror agency scrutinizing, monitoring the terror camps all around the world and especially in S.Asia.Terror and militant training camps should be missile attacked by all the combined forces of the global agency.2)India should have a autonomous self governing Anti Terror Agency3)Joint exercises between Intelligence agencies on tracing terror links and rescue operations management.4)CCTV and technological infrastructure to monitor movements of people in crowded places like stations,airports,markets.5)Electronic cards like ATM's should replace ration cards, licenses, passports so that none outside the country can acquire indian identity cards.6)Tougher anti terror law but simultaneously following human rights a democracy should.

Sonia got her son-in-law to be exempted from security clearance - he is more important than military chiefs. With 'leaders' like these we dont need enemies. Security and luxury for a few at tax payers expense while the rest are left to pray and thank for each day they stay alive.

The real culprit is the UPA government.People ar rising all slogans against raj thackeray. But it is lalloo who is to blamed for the whole episode. He initiated this by publishing the railway job recruitment only in bihar gazzetes and not all over india. This is the way to divide and rule. The next one is the great Arjun singh who might offer scholarship and legal aid to this terrorists as he may consider them patriotic.

India will be more stronger by Zahid on 2008-11-28 20:31:19.366164+05:30 Together we win – Divided we fallHats off to our commandos and police force who bravely fought and even sacrificed their lives to save India. After rescue operation, we need to strengthen the process of investigation and maintain peace and integrity among nationals. The investigation agencies must find the real culprits behind all such terror attacks. Only through fair and genuine investigation, we would be able to find the real culprits and punish them for all such terrorist attacks. Being civilian we must extend our all moral support to police, administration, investigation agencies and judiciary. We should make efforts to promote peace, harmony and integrity among ourselves. We must assure that there is no mischief spreading non sense, hatred and ill will among our youths who have rush of blood. Wish a brighter and more powerful India will emerge after such bloodshed and fatal attacks on India. Zahid

ATS Chief Hemant Karkare and Mumbai terror by Dinesh V.Baliga on 2008-11-28 16:13:14.123568+05:30 Deeply regret the demise of ATS Chief along with several of his dynamic and courageous officers who laid down their lives in fighting the terrorists. My deepest sympathies to their near and dear ones. Karkare and his team needed careful planning and strategies to the encounter before taking a spontaneous plunge. Their courage is highly admired, but probably lack of preparation and with no sophisticated rapidfire weapons in hand they became sitting ducks in the hands of terrorists. We all have to put our heads down in shame looking at the pathetic and ill prepared status of our security agencies. Constables had only lathis as defence weapons against AK 47 and Hand grenades. It is more than urgent for all concerned to have sophistication in modern anti terrorism warfare and for India it is need of the hour.
