A new horror show
Promising to be thrilling and chillings, Hungama TV has launched a new show Are You Afraid Of The Dark starting September 15, every Monday to Friday at 8.30 p.m. The show revolves around a group of teenagers who call themselves “The Midnight Society”. Every week, at a secret location in the woods, one member narrates a scary story to the group. The themes of the stories usually revolve around paranormal phenomena such as ghosts, goblins, haunted houses, magical curses and the like.
Kissmet Ka Khel on 9X
Kissmet Ka Khel, the new daily drama on 9X, is about two characters locked in a powerful tussle with emotional undercurrents. Starting September 15, Kissmet Ka Khel is the saga of Krishna and Damini, two strongly motivated protagonists whose aspirations drive them to push all boundaries to realise their dreams. They are two individuals with strong principles who could have been friends, had fate not decided to make them enemies, thus giving birth to hatred and a war between Krishna and Damini, threatening to destroy not just them but everyone and everything they love. Krishna is all of seven years old when fate uproots him from Bihar and brings him to Mumbai, where he starts his journey to realise his dream. And as this young man grows up, he is driven by but one ambition: to make it big in the construction business in Mumbai, and tower over the city. Meanwhile, Damini, who is a rich industrialist’s daughter in a quest for the truth, has to struggle against opposition at home and outside, to establish herself as a media baron. The serial produced by Bonnie Jain Productions has a all-new starcast that includes Nidhi Seth, Karron Mallik,Bharat Singh, Beena Rai, Sunita Rao, Shakti Arora and Kalpana Vora. It is aired from Monday-Thursday at 10.30 pm.
From engineering to acting
The Mohe Rang De actor Gavie Chahal is a mechanical engineer-turned-actor. After his engineering, he participated in many pageants and won the title of Mr Punjab in the year 2000. It was when he doing the rounds of the modelling world that he was offered to star in Punjabi music videos. His first music video, Jattan de putt saadh ho gaye was a roaring success, after which he appeared in many music videos. He shifted base to Mumbai in 2005 when he grabbed a role in the successful soap Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. But he quit when he got an offer in the Punjabi film Yaaran Naal Baharan which was produced under the coveted Yash Raj banner. Gavie also participated in the adventure show on AXN channel- Fear Factor, in which he won the fear factor championship and also a plum prize of Rs 10 lakh. Besides modelling and acting, Gavie is also a sports enthusiast and is involved in sports. He has been a national level player of Kabbadi and a state level player of basketball.

Some cab rides are more memorable than others and if you are paid while travelling in it, nothing like it. Bindass is all set to bring you the adaptation of an Emmy Award-winning game show on wheels. Airtel Bindass Cash Cab, starting on September 15 is a crazy quiz show on the go. Unsuspecting passengers get into a seemingly ordinary cab stating their destination. The passengers are surprised when they learn that it is no ordinary taxi and that they are on national television with the unique opportunity to win a grand cash prize of Rs. 20,000/-enroute to their respective destination. To win, a passenger only needs to give the right answers to questions asked by Cash Cab anchor cum driver - Munish Makhija. The questions get progressively challenging with each correct answer as does the cash prize. Incorrect answers get a strike - and three such strikes will see passenger(s) out of the cab and on the road irrespective of the distance remaining to their actual destination! Passengers get two lifelines in case they do not know the answer to a particular question. They can either stop and ask strangers on the street or call a friend for help. The Cash Cab will travel through Mumbai and Delhi giving the local junta the chance to take a ride and become richer!
