Salman
In a rare appearance, the reticent Dharmendra and Sunny Deol will come together on Salman Khan’s 10 Ka Dum. The duo has never, either individually or together, appeared on any TV shows. They, however, made an exception for Salman’s show. The yesteryear superstar Dharmendra is as fond of Salman as he is of his father Salim Khan, who he recalls was one of the best-looking men in those days. “I am so fond of Salman. In him I see a younger version of myself,” says the actor who was one of the most handsome heroes of his time. “He does everything openly just like I did in my younger days. Whether it is drinking or romancing!” he adds. Salman and Sunny, who have worked together in Jeet, recalled how their younger siblings make midnight calls to them after downing a few pegs. Salman recalled how Sohail once called him in the wee hours. A panic-stricken Salman’s first thoughts were whether all was well with his parents and family. But was stunned to hear a sozzled Sohail mumble: “Bhai, I love you!” Sunny had an identical incident to talk about when Bobby called him at 3 am crying. Sunny recalls wondering if he was in any kind of trouble, called up other members of the family to trace Bobby’s whereabouts only to discover that Bobby had called to say how much he loves him!

Jungle mein mangal
Sony is gearing up to launch its next big-ticket reality show Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao that has elements of Bigg Boss and Survivor. Hosted by Mini Mathur and Yudi, the show will have 10 celebrity contestants thrown into a jungle in Malaysia. The channel had approached many small and big celebrities like Sameera Reddy, Upen Patel, Koena Mitra, Aditya Panscholi and Karan Wahi. While some have refused, others are yet to sign on the dotted line. According to sources, Aman Varma has given his nod to the show that goes on air from July 6. Wonder how the contestants will brave the conditions and bear to live with the creepy crawlies of the jungle? If not anything, it will surely humble them. What say?

Wasna learns to chant mantras
Wasna Ahmed, who essays the role of Shree, was supposed to chant a lot of mantras in order to oust the evil spirit Kangna from Bindiya’s body. Being a Muslim, Wasna was totally caught unawares with this new development. After many failed initial attempts, just when the production house decided to hire a voiceover artiste to dub the chanting of mantras, Wasna put her foot down and insisted that she will do it herself even if it requires her to prolong her shooting schedules. Immediately, a pandit was hired to tutor Wasna the mantras that she was required to chant. After rigorous practice sessions, Wasna did an excellent job and for sure passed the test with flying colours .

A tribute to Rajinikanth
Ali Asgar, who plays different characters in each episode of Ghar Ki Baat Hai on NDTV Imagine, is on cloud nine as he got to play Rajinikanth recently. The episode is titled Sajnikant. All the characters were dressed in south Indian attire. Everyone started mouthing Rajinikanth’s most popular dialogue “Navar dar onna, noor dar sonna madri” which translates, Mera ek baar bolna, sau baar bolne ke barabar hai”. Everyone has learned the dialogue by rote and the joke on the sets was that when they meet the legendary actor, they will all speak these lines. Ananth Mahadevan and Sumeet Raghavan were helpful to the cast in explaining the meaning of Tamil dialogues. The episode will be telecast on Saturday.
