




Unnithan says that he saw the Marathi film Bayo and found his heroine in Mrunmayee and the chemistry of Neena and Kanwaljit on television had him signing them to play the parents of the heroine.
Unnithan, who has been an assistant art director with Kerala-based National Award-winning filmmaker Shyamaprasad, won the Kerala State Film Award for the Best Art Director for Malayalam Film Akale in 2004. Basically from Kerala, he studied in Haryana where he met Garg and the two dreamt of making a Hindi film together. In 2006, they came to Mumbai and thus began their journey towards filmmaking. Unnithan also mentions Ashutosh Gowariker who encouraged him to turn director.
Hello Zindagi shot mostly in Mumbai, has been distributed by PVR Pictures and is the first ever film to be sponsored by Tata Steel. After being in the making for two years, Hello Zindagi, made at a budget of 2 crore, releases all over on March 5 after which it may do the rounds of some film festivals.
