Madhavan in Seeman’s next
Actor Madhavan and director Seeman are to team up once again in Pagalvan, their third Tamil film together after Thambi and Vazhthukkal. It’s reported that the film will be a high-voltage action one in which Maddy would be featuring in many fight sequences. He is reportedly now in Bangkok, getting trained in martial arts for the sake of the role. It seems Pagalvan would prove a turning point in the careers of both Madhavan and Seeman. Madhavan’s recent releases were Yaavaraum Nalam (13-B in Hindi) and Guru En Aalu.
Kiran Bedi to be dubbed in Telugu
The Malashree-starrer action Kannada film Kiran Bedi is reportedly all set to be dubbed into Telugu. It’s heard that the Telugu version of the Kannada film will be released as Andhra Kiran Bedi. Malashree has a good fan following in Andhra Pradesh. She has acted in Telugu films like Prema Kaidi and Bava Bavamaridi and many of her Kannada films have been dubbed into Telugu and have enjoyed box-office success too. Kiran Bedi, directed by N. Omprakash Rao, also has in the cast Ashish Vidyarthi, Srinivasa Murthy, Rangayana Raghu and Shantala, GV. Andhra Kiran Bedi will hit screens in August.
Shivarajkumar celebrates his 48th birthday
Top Kannada star Shivarajkumar celebrated his 48th birthday on July 13. In addition to the usual celebrations and greetings pouring in from various quarters, the day was also marked by a blood donation camp held in the lawns of his residence by his fans. Shivarajkumar did find time to meet and talk to guests and fans and in the evening he paid respects to his late father Dr Rajkumar at his samadhi. The Akhila Karnataka Shivarajkumar Sena Samithi has also arranged to donate uniforms and books to physically-disabled students in a grand event that was held the next day and which was attended by prominent industry personalities.
Jayasurya to lead in Uttaraswayamvaram
Malayalam actor Jayasurya will play the lead role in Uttaraswayamvaram, to be directed by debutant director Ramakanth Sarju. The movie, in which Jayasurya will once again team up with Roma, will also have in the cast Nedumudi Venu, Balachandra Menon, Laloo Aalex, Salim Kumar, Suraaj Venjaramoodu, Harisri Ashokan, Indrans, Geetha Vijayan, Shafna, Sukumari etc. Santhosh Pavithram will produce the movie under the banner of Pavithram Creations. Uttaraswayamvaram, which will be a family entertainer, will feature script by J.Pallasserry, lyrics by Gireesh Puthencherry and music by M.Jayachandran. Saloo George will crank the camera for the film, which will start rolling soon.
