Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s brother Faisal Khan on Thursday moved the Bombay High Court challenging the City Civil and Sessions Court’s order refusing to stay the telecast of reality show Big Boss.

Faisal Khan approached the court seeking a stay on the telecast of the reality show alleging that the contract signed between him, Viacomm 18 Media, the newly launched Colors channel and production company Endemol India was terminated at the last moment allegedly at the behest of Aamir Khan.

Faisal Khan had first approached the sessions court which refused to grant him any relief, observing that stay on the telecast can be granted only when the applicant has suffered an irreparable loss.

“However, Khan has not suffered any such loss and thus no relief can be granted,” additional sessions judge KP Joshi observed.

Faisal Khan in his appeal before the High Court has claimed that he was invited to participate in the reality show after which a contract was signed on July 29.

He was promised a signing amount of Rs 7 lakh out of which he was paid Rs 5.25 lakh immediately. The remaining amount was to be paid after completion of 15 days in the show.

However, on August 11, he learnt through a newspaper article that he would not be featuring in the show. Faisal has alleged that his brother, who has always been “jealous” of his success, has used his influence as a Bollywood actor to terminate his contract. The appeal will be heard in due course of time.

“They came forward to sign me up and we had dress rehearsals too. On August 11 we shot the promos in Borivali and in the evening I came to know that I’m not in the show,” Khan said.
