Highlights
Eva Mendes has joined the cast of Adam McKay’s next comedy, The Other Guys, as have Michael Keaton and Damon Wayans Jr.
Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg star as cops in the action-comedy scheduled for an August release by Sony. McKay and Chris Henchy (Land Of The Lost) wrote the screenplay (formerly titled The B Team).
Mendes is touring the festival circuit in Werner Herzog’s Bad Lieutenant: Port Of Call New Orleans. She next appears in the Miramax drama Last Night, scheduled for a March release. Keaton just shepherded his directorial debut, The Merry Gentleman, into theatres. He voiced Ken in Toy Story 3, which hits theatres in June.
Wayans was a writer, actor and story editor on his father’s sitcom My Wife And Kids. He also co-starred in the Paramount comedy Dance Flick.

Jessica Alba eyes Fockers
Jessica Alba is becoming a Focker. The actress is in negotiations to join the Ben Stiller/Robert DeNiro comedy Little Fockers. She'd play the role of an attractive pharmaceutical rep whose looks wreak havoc on the male characters in the story.
Paul Weitz is directing the third installment in the successful Universal and Tribeca Productions franchise. Production is set to begin in the next few months, with a 2010 release date likely.
The picture is expected to pick up where 2004's Meet The Fockers left off, with Stiller's Gaylord Focker and Teri Polo's Pamela Byrnes becoming parents. John Hamburg, one of the screenwriters on the earlier film, wrote the latest version of the script.
Alba is set to star in the Robert Rodriguez thriller Machete as well as Garry Marshall's romantic comedy Valentine's Day.
