Harry Potter star Emma Watson, who played the brainy Hermione in the film, has reportedly decided to move to US to study at Harvard, the alma mater of President Barack Obama.

The fees for prestigious college is about 30,000 pound a year but the 18-year-old actress would have no problem paying up after earning a millions for the fantasy franchise, the ‘News Of The World’ reported.

"Emma has always been a very dedicated student and made sure she could schedule her acting around her studies.

She loves America and has loads of friends out there. She's really excited about following some of the great thinkers in attending one of their great universities," said a close friend of the star.

Watson reportedly took the admission test for Harvard at a private centre in London last week, the 'News of the World' reported.

"She plans to go to Harvard, said her pal. "But she hasn't completely ruled out any of the other Ivy League colleges, in particular Yale and Brown as they are all great schools."

Watson is currently shooting the final Potter film "Deathly Hallows" but she is ready to take a break from her acting career to concentrate on her studies.

"I would like to go to university. I have a need now to study," Watson had said.
