Pritam
EMI, Rs 125
Pritam’s music is functional and one has to take things at that level, like Sambhale (Sukhwinder-Sunidhi). It is a pleasure to hear Abhijeet after months in the Jatin-Lalit-esque Tum saath ho (with Shreya). DJ Phukan’s melodious re-creation of a traditional Punjabi folk song Sona lagda is well- sung by Shashwati and scores over the rest with its haunting riff.

Meri Padosan
Worldwide Records, Rs 99
A mediocre score with lack of both ambition and class, the film has music by Ravi Meet and Manoj Negi in separate songs. Reflecting these degenerate times when words and thoughts in a song are of no importance whatsoever, we are not informed by the inlay about who has written the lyrics!
