While there have been speculations around Irrfan Khan being signed for Tigmanshu Dhulia directed ‘Paan Singh Tomar’, here comes the confirmation from one of the principal protagonists of the film. Vipin Sharma, who rose to fame with his cold act as Darsheel Safary's father in ‘Taare Zameen Par’, plays an important role of Irrfan's brother in the film.

Confirming the news, Vipin Sharma says, "Yes, Tigmanshu Dhulia has cast me in his next feature film ‘Paan Singh Tomar’. Irrfan Khan plays the title role. It is a very interesting tale of a runner who won Asiad Games and later became a dacoit. The film is special because I am acting as Irrfan's brother in it."

Revealing his personal relationship with Irrfan and Tigmanshu, Vipin reveals, "Irrfan is one of my dearest friends. In reality I have always felt that he is my brother. Actually it is both Irrfan and Tigmanshu I feel a special bond with. We three are like brothers to each other."

Buzz is that he has also been signed by Rahul Dholakia for ‘Lamha’. "You have heard it right", says Vipin, "In the film, I have a very important role of an army officer who is closest to Sanjay (Dutt). We both work on a plan to fight the unrest in the valley. I will be shooting in Kashmir soon for the film."

Giving insight into his role in the film, Vipin informs, "Since I play the role of a person who is connected to the troubles in the region for the last 20 years, I have to pay the price for my integrity as well. However, it is the challenge of setting up things for Sanjay to fight the battle that adds on to the narrative. I can't wait for Rahul to call the shots for ‘Lamha’."

With Canada being his home for 15 years, Mumbai being his current workplace and Kashmir being the next destination, isn't it becoming too much too soon for Vipin? "Not at all", he says firmly, "After my film making stint in Canada, I decided one fine day that I wanted to get back to acting in a big way. Now that ‘Taare Zameen Par’ followed by ‘Jannat’ have opened the doors for me, I am enjoying every bit of it."
