‘Jee Karda bhai Jee Karda, Congress nu Jitan da Jee Karda...’ If you hear this parody of the chart-buster from Akshay Kumar-starrer 'Singh is Kinng' being sung by enthusiastic Congress supporters, don't be surprised.

Popular Bollywood numbers are becoming the easiest way for the political parties to attract the attention of young voters.

The Congress has also adopted the tactics in the campaign for Delhi assembly polls and distributed a music CD to each of its candidate to publicise achievements of the party-ruled government in the past 10 years.

Prepared by the party's publicity wing, the seven songs in the CD also touch upon developmental issues and 'pro-poor' measures taken by the Congress in the past 50 years in general and in the recent years in particular.

The other song recorded is -- ‘Kahen to aj Jamane se hum Soniaji ke sath hain, Soniaji ke Do hath nahin, unke Karoron hath hain’ (We are with Sonia since times immemorial. Sonia does not have two hands but crores of hands).

Another song says, ‘Yeh Congress Ka hath hai, jo sada garibon ke sath hai (This is Congress' hand, which is always with the poor)’.

There is also a song in the CD, which highlight the achievements of the former Congress Prime Ministers, including Jawaharlal Nehru, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi.

While name of Congress president Sonia Gandhi is mentioned in all the songs, it do not mention incumbent Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
