Celebrating Dev Anand’s 86th birthday
Stars don’t always fade away; often they shine even brighter and bring in newer generations into their fan club. Legendary film star, producer and director Dev Anand turned 86 on September 26. Shemaroo has a rich catalogue of Dev Anand’s films and they have compiled a music compilation on this occasion on DVDs and VCDs, with songs from films like Hare Rama Hare Krishna, Des Pardes, Tere Mere Sapne, Johny Mera Naam and Jewel Thief among others. All these films are available on Shemaroo DVDs and VCDs.
Shemaroo has put some of his greatest hits in premium song compilation packs like Screen Legends: Dev Anand - Vol. 1 (a 2 DVD pack comprising 50 entertaining Dev solos); Screen Legends: Dev Anand - Vol. 2 (a 2 DVD pack comprising 50 romantic Dev duets); Screen Legends: Dev Anand, a 6 VCD compilation pack and many single DVD and VCD titles.

The Melody Queen turns 80
Lata Mangeshkar celebrated her 80th birthday on September 28. On this landmark occasion, Saregama has released a new collection of 8 CDs of her songs. Titled 80 Glorious Years of Lata Mangeshkar: Safalta Ki Shikhar Par Kal Bhi ... Aaj Bhi. Each CD has select chartbuster songs through her career from the 1940s to the millennium. The album comprises of songs like Jiya beqaraar hai from film Barsaat, Pyar kiya to darna kya from Mughal-E-Azam, Bindiya chamkegi from Do Raaste, Inhi logon ne from Pakeezah and others. The cost of this premium album is Rs 1200. It also contains the singer’s rare photographs apart from a write-up by Yash Chopra.
