More than 12,000 Hindi film enthusiasts were witness to the magic of the stars of The Unforgettable Tour on August 1 at the Toyota Centre in Houston. Looking at the response that the tour has been getting, a press conference was held in Houston wherein Ed Emmett, Judge of Harris County, Texas, declared August 2, the day of the show in Houston, as “Bollywood Day” and his representative presented proclamations of the same to the Unforgettable stars; Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Preity Zinta, Riteish Deshmukh, Shiamak Davar, Vishal-Shekhar and Viraf Sarkari, director, Wizcraft.

With Madhuri Dixit joining the tour, the US lap has become even stronger. The dancing queen who has worked with Amitabh Bachchan in Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan shared stage space with the superstar on the tour, much to the excitement of their fans. She also danced to the famous Dola re dola number from Devdas alongside Aishwarya Rai.

In Houston, the viewers were treated to Bachchan nostalgia as he revisited his top tracks of the ‘70s and ‘80s. He also rendered some of his famous dialogues from some of his films. While Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan performed to some of the romantic songs in Hindi films, Preity danced to peppy songs like Where’s the party tonight and Riteish grooved to some popular music from his recent films.

“The Unforgettable Tour garnered an overwhelming response wherever we have gone. We were certain of the same in Houston, which has an immense following of Indian movies. My Long Cherished Dream of seeing ‘Amitabh Bachchan’ came true in Toronto by Harsha G on 2008-08-11 23:13:17.562358+05:30 Mr. Bachchan brought back my old memories of seeing him on Big Screen in 1970’s by singing and dancing hit numbers from DON, DEEWAR, Yaraana, Kalia, Mr. Natwarlal, Amar Akbar Anthony etc. which are all my favorites, electrifying the entire Stadium and enthralling 10,000 plus audiences, who all were humming to the tunes. My special thanks to Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and the entire team for making this event ‘The most Spectacular Live Show I have ever seen in USA/Canada’. I was dying to hear Amitabh’s voice. His unforgettable dialogues with his ‘Unforgettable Voice’ from movies like Deewar, Kabhie Kabhie etc. were a blessing in disguise. Last but not least, he also entertained young audience with his new movie hits. I had never expected ‘Jaya Bachchan’ in Toronto. We all were taken a back when she appeared on stage. My hearty thanks to Jayaji for joining the ‘First Family of Bollywood’. We all remember Jaya Bhaduri from good old days of ‘GUDDY’. Abhishek Bachchan was looking ‘HOT’ and ‘STUNNING’ and driving girls crazy. He stole my heart by dancing to numbers from Don and Mr. Natwarlal. For a moment I felt I am reliving the moments of Amitabh Bachchan of 1970’s. I truly adore him.
