When the first shot of Jai Maa Vaishno Devi was about to be taken; the crew lost the big garland of flowers that the protagonist (Rupa Dutta playing Vaishno Devi) had to wear. There was a lot of chaos as everybody scurried around to find the garland. Finally the director saw a similar garland festooned on Lord Shiva in a nearby temple. He instructed the spot boys to use that same garland on the actor playing Vaishno Devi. As soon as Rupa Dutta wore the garland, the original one was found. The shot eventually happened with the original garland of flowers. The entire cast and crew are convinced that garland went missing because Lord Shiva wanted to bless the show before the camera rolled.
In another instance, when the entire cast and crew was ready to begin shooting the first song and dance sequence for the show, the sound recorder started creating trouble. Despite the best efforts of the technicians the recorder kept stopping after every few seconds thereby causing immense irritation to the choreographer. Finally one villager from the sets said with great conviction that unless permission was sought from Maa Durga in the temple, shooting will never be able to progress. The sound recordist took the suggestion and performed a small puja at the mata mandir of Umargaon. Post the puja, the recorder never stopped blaring!
A few members from the crew were sitting and talking about Lord Shiva in a light way and cracking jokes about His looks and His heavenly abode Kailash Parbat. Suddenly out of nowhere a ferocious cobra appeared from one of the tree branches and stared at the group of spot boys for a few seconds. Before the men could collect their wits and decide the next course of action, the reptile quickly crawled back into the jungle. The entire cast and crew of the show decided to never share light moments over the Gods.

Fight for supremacy
Apparently all’s not hunky-dory on the sets of Zee’s new show Ek Se Badkhar Ek. A cold war is brewing between judge Abhijeet and host Ravi Kissen. Both of them are extremely friendly on the sets but can’t stand each other off it. The war got intensified when Ravi questioned the harsh comments made by singer Abhijeet about Emon, one of the participants. Abhijeet hit back at Ravi defending whatever he had said to Emon. After Emon’s performance, Abhijeet simply dismissed his efforts saying that he wanted to hear someone original and not someone who would simply copy Sonu Niigaam. To put up a point in Emon’s favour, Ravi argued that even though Emon tried to sing like Sonu,he should be appreciated as he did a very good job. This enraged the singer and what followed was a showcase of superiority in terms of both knowledge and experience by Abhijeetda.

Mentors at war
Ila Arun and Anand Raaj Anand had an argument while on the sets of Junoon and are not seeing eye to eye since then. While Ila was sharing her thoughts about music presented on the show with the audience, she expressed that Sufi is a form of music through which you can connect to God. She also added that Folk is a form of music through which one can connect to their roots. Anand Raaj Anand (who is the mentor of the Bollywood genre) was listening to her silently. He interrupted and told her, “Ila you are forgetting that whatever you are today is because of Bollywood. If you are successful and popular, it is because of film music and Bollywood!”. Ila was furious at the personal remark and told him, “I disagree with you! I was a folk singer even before I started singing film music. I was already renowned for the same and that’s how I was offered to sing for films.” She added that, “You are getting very personal. We are all here to present some good music. I would not like to get into these arguments with you. It’s best if we concentrate on the show and not get into verbal fights like this! If this goes on, I would not like to be a part of the show!”

Sari figure
Sumedha was wearing a sari as she was performing on a song from Parineeta (Piyu- bole) and was looking very pretty. Sayantani who arrived late at the shoot was irritated to see Sumedha in a sari and went and questioned the dress designer, “How can she be in a sari when only I was supposed to wear one?” Apparently she also insists on wearing clothes that are little revealing so that she can flaunt her figure. However, Deepika who is designing the costumes for Sayantani denied the incident.

My daddy strongest
He is the one who strikes a complete balance between his professional and personal life Sameer Dharamdhikari, Siddharth of Mein Teri Parchhain Hoon whose life revolves around his three kids in the soap also has a 5 year old daughter, Saraswati in real life. “So there are a lot of portions of the show I can relate to, specially dealing with the kids,” he says with a smile. Sameer recalls the time when he works out at home and has his daughter, imitating him with her 100 gm dumbbell showing off her biceps, whereas on the sets it’s the other way round. Poor Sameer has no choice but to imitate Krish who has the entire unit dancing to his tunes. And here is when Sameer rightly points out the difference between boys and girls. “Boys are such brats… including me when I was a child, and girls are more of a subtle and sweet kind”.
